The Imperial Navy used fighter craft, but Vilani fighter doctrine was not very aggressive. The Adip class Missile Fighter was produced in vast numbers and carried on a wide variety of warships.

Description (Specifications)
This design was a clear representative of Vilani ship building philosophies. A sleek, streamlined saucer that was simple and efficient, quick and agile. It carried two crew and a pair of missile launchers for the swarming missile volleys, from a safe distance, that was a favored tactic. Everything was going great with that, by the way, until they met the Solomani...
