Description (Specifications)

The TC18 Hocdef class Colonial Cruiser is a "cruiser" class deployed by the Trooles Confederation. Examples of the class can be encountered throughout the coreward parts of Theta Borealis Sector. The vessel has a partially streamlined cylinder structure hull. It is fitted with fuel scoops and fuel purification plant allowing it to perform wilderness gas giant refueling.

All Staterooms are given over to the crew. All crew quarters are double occupancy. There are no Low Berths. Accessible areas of the hull are fitted with grav plates and inertial compensators and have full life support and environmental systems. There are internal monitoring and security systems throughout the vessel. Individual sections of the hull can be sealed off. There are multiple emergency lockers.
3.	Performance	The vessel mounts a Jump-2 drive, a Maneuver-4 drive, and an upgraded fusion Power Plant-4, giving performance of Jump-2 and 4-G acceleration. The ship has an agility rating of 2 and an emergency agility of 4. The internal fuel tankage is sufficient for a Jump-2 and gives the power plant 4 weeks duration. It is fitted with drop tanks, should extended range operations be required. The engineering section has a main control room. The jump drive utilizes a lanthanum hull grid. The jump drive is fitted with a jump governor.
4.	Electronics	Adjacent to the bridge are (2) Model/5 fib computer. There are multiple workstations and control points throughout the vessel. The vessel is fitted with communications equipment, a basic sensor array, and has an avionics suite. They have system range laser, microwave and radio communication arrays.

9.	Fuel Treatment	The vessel has internal fuel tankage of 432 Tons. They are delivered with a new set of optional jump 2 drop tanks, which can be fitted as needed. The hull is fitted with fuel scoops. The vessel is equipped with a fuel purification plant that can refine all onboard fuel in 8 hours: the plant is operated and maintained by the engineering crew.

The TC18 Hocdef class Colonial Cruiser class is used by the Trooles Confederation. These partially streamlined cylinders fill an important light carrier role in the fleet, with a marine squad along for the ride. It has two fighter squadrons. An extra computer helps manage the flight operations.
