Description (Specifications)

The Green Hornet is based on the hull of a salvaged Scout/Courier but has been extensively modified. A 24 Ton ventral payload bay has been cut into the hull: it is fitted with a capsule launcher which can that can accommodate a variety of loads, including up to 48 assault capsules.

1.	Tonnage	The Green Hornet is constructed using a 100 Ton hull built in a Wedge configuration. The hull is fully streamlined, giving fair atmospheric performance that is further enhanced by its onboard gravitic systems. The vessel is fitted with an airlock. Its ventral bay is covered by armored doors . The vessel has sturdy retractable legs, allowing surface landings.
2.	Crew	8 personnel, including 6 Marines. 1 Officer. 1 Enlisted. Accommodations There are 4 Staterooms. All quarters are double occupancy. Accessible areas of the hull are fitted with grav plates and inertial compensators and have full life support and environmental systems. There are internal monitoring and security systems throughout the vessel. Individual sections of the hull can be sealed off. There are multiple emergency lockers.
3.	Performance	The vessel mounts a Jump-2 drive, a Maneuver-2 drive, and a Power Plant-2, giving performance of Jump-2 and 2-G acceleration. The ship has an agility rating of 0 and an emergency agility of 2. The internal fuel tankage is sufficient for one Jump-2 and gives the power plant 4 weeks duration. The engineering section has a main control room. The jump drive utilizes a lanthanum hull grid. The jump drive is fitted with a jump governor.
4.	Electronics	Adjacent to the bridge is a Model/3 computer: no backup computer is installed. There are multiple workstations and control points throughout the vessel. The vessel is fitted with communications equipment, an advanced sensor array, and has an avionics suite. It is fitted with backup commo and sensor systems. It has a transponder unit that can be deactivated on command. It is equipped with a sophisticated ECM package.
5.	Hardpoints	1 hardpoint. The mixed battery is standard for the Green Hornet. An alternative weapon array may be fitted for specific missions.
6.	Armament	The normal weapons fit-out for the Green Hornet is: 1 mixed triple turret holding one Beam Laser and two Missile Racks.
7.	Defenses	The hull is plated, structurally reinforced, and built with secure bulkheads and compartments that give it a High Guard armor rating of 2. The vessel is not fitted with screens or other passive defensive systems.
8.	Craft	The vessel carries no subcraft.
9.	Fuel Treatment	The vessel has internal fuel tankage of 22 Tons. The vessel is not equipped with fuel purification equipment.
10.	Cost	The basic cost of the vessel is MCr58.23458 Architects Fee: MCr0.583 The vessel is a one-off conversion of an existing design.
11.	Construction Time	40 weeks (9 months) as standard. Build times can be reduced by mass production and the efficiencies such processes generate, by increased financing, and by allotting additional yard resources and facilities to the construction contract.
12.	Comments	Standard cargo capacity amounts to 24 Tons. The cargo hold is covered by retractable armored doors. The hold is fitted with a large capsule launcher, capable of dropping up to 48 capsules either simultaneously or in preset sequences.

History & Background (Dossier)

The Green Hornet is a salvaged Scout/Courier hull which Harry Palmer, the commander of a Starmerc group known as Harry's Hornets, had completely re-manufactured to TL-15 standards, including having the hull armored. The vessel has been rearmed and has state of the art electronics, sensors and equipment.
