Jesel is a pre-agricultural, pre-Industrial world with a moderate population of over a hundred million, but not yet a billion sophonts.
- It requires significant imports of outside technology to maintain a modern, star-faring society.
- Its economy and population are growing and living conditions are expected to slowly improve barring outside forces.
- It is a member of The Last Line in the Farin Subsector of Halcyon Sector, which is part of the Distant Fringe.
- This world-system has a Military Base, usually associated with military ground forces, which may be located on or off-world.
Astrography and Planetology
The Jesel system is a part of the Vey Trace.
System data
The primary is Kimmesey, an ordinary yellow-white main sequence star. It has a luminosity of 2.126 Sols, a mass of 1.144 Sols and a diameter of 1.639 million km. The inner system consists of (II) a vacuum inner world, and (III) an exotic atmosphere radworld – orbital position (I) is empty. (IV) Janipor, a large gas giant, orbits within the habitable zone: (IVc) Jesel is its third satellite and is designated the mainworld. (V) a large gas giant, (VII) a sparse rocky planetoid belt, (VIII) a small gas giant, (IX) a small ice giant, (X) a large ringed gas giant, and (XII) a sparse icy planetoid belt form the outer system – orbital positions (VI) and (XI) are empty. Many of the worlds in the system retain satellites.
(IV) Janipor

Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.
- War footing (government modifier x1.5). Port Capacity: 1,200,000 dTons
World technology level
Jesel possesses a Technology Level of TL–11 or TL-B in Hexadecimal Notation.
- Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Holovision, Personal Global Communications, and advanced Translators.
- Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Increasingly advanced fusion plants and advanced fuel cells.
- Common Transportation technologies for this TL include:
- Land, Water & Air: Personal G-Tubes and advanced gravcraft.
- Space: Advanced interplanetary spacecraft (System Craft).
- FTL: Jump Drive-2.
World government
Jesel is governed by a Charismatic Dictatorship. Charismatic governments justify their ability to rule by simply asserting their right to rule. Charismatic dictatorships are typically young governments, coming as a recent change, and rely on the leader(s) to supply head of government.
