Oldest surviving issue of Paulo III. Born in 1049, proclaimed emperor by the Moot in 1071. During Strephon's reign, the Fourth Frontier War (1082 to 1084) erupted; his delegation of war powers to Norris, Duke of Regina, is credited with bringing a speedy end to a conflict that otherwise would have been hampered by the long delays in communication between Capital (Core 2118) and the front. Norris later became the conquering hero of the Fifth Frontier War, and in partial recognition of this, Strephon reinstituted the Archduchy as a level of Imperial government and appointed Norris as the first Archduke of the Domain of Deneb.

Strephons double was assissinated by Archduke Dulinor, who then claimed the throne by the ancient custom of Right of Assassination. Strephon himself was on a science mission to supervise progress of project Longbow scanning the Empress Wave. When he came back it was to late. Vying factions caused the imperium to shatter into a civil war.
