Description (Specifications)[edit]
The primary language families correspond to the recognised cultural regions:
- Arrghoun Superfamily: EXTINCT - A precursor to "Akumgeda-Arrghoun", Gvegh and Aekhu, among others.
Dialects (expanded)[edit]
Arrghoun Super-Family:
- Arrghoun (« dead language ») - The Ancestral Language of the language family, from which the Gvegh language family and Aekhu language family directly descend, from which the Family as a whole takes its name.
- Akumgeda Family:
- » Akumgeda-Arrghoun: The most common Akumgeda Language from which the Family takes its name.
- » Aekhu
- Irilitok: The most common Irilitok Language from which the Family takes its name.
- Fgavoukuarg: An Irilitok language on the planet Ababat.
- Ghikzouvrovhok
- Kriksafugk. An Irilitok language spoken on the Empty Quarter world of Byegh Aengz.
- Rrakfugk: An Irilitok language common in the Asimikigir Confederation.
- Tenirruet: A widespread Irilitok trade language within the Lorean Hegemony.
- Vuakedh: A major Irilitok language in the Domain of Antares.
- Logaksu: The most common Logaksu Language from which the Family takes its name.
- Hybrid:»» Mavek Errgh: One of many localised Logaksu-Ovaghoun dialects, in use on the border of Windhorn Sector and Vland Sector
- Ovaghoun: The most common Ovaghoun Language from which the Family takes its name.
- Kr'ra'ogovtzarr: A major variation of Ikonaz Vargr, spoken on Ikon and elsewhere in the Rukadukaz Republic.
- Oksukhonmoere: A rare dialect of Ikonaz Vargr, only spoken on the world of Ikon itself.
- Ourmakten: A common dialect of Ikonaz Vargr, commonly spoken on the world of Ikon. A large minority of Ikon-based shipping prefers to use this language; only Modern Vilani is more popular.
- Ukazk: A major variation of Ikonaz Vargr, spoken on Ikon and elsewhere in the Rukadukaz Republic.
- Hybrid:»» Kuummommoengh: An Ovaghoun-Irilitok language of Ikon. As the Irilitok elements "spoil" the language, it is despised by proper Ikonaz (read: Ovaghoun race, Ovaghoun-speaking) Vargr.
- Suedzuk: The most common Suedzuk Language from which the Family takes its name.
- Evrgoer: The most common Suedzuk dialect of the Lorean Hegemony. The hyper-paranoid Suedzuk being what they are, this isn't actually saying a lot. It isn't really true that "Every pack has its own language", but it isn't due to lack of trying.
- Gvouks:
- Khethuksdzengts:
- Kogvi: A diplomatic/trade/scientific Suedzuk language within the Hegemony of Lorean.
- Urzaeng: The most common Urzaeng Language from which the Family takes its name.
- Kfukakh: An Urzaeng language, found on a world in Gzaekfueg Sector.
Other Languages & Dialects:
- Dzoungdzi: An obscure local language from the planet of the same name.
- Ghaehoun: A trade language created by the Vargr communities of Dagudashaag Sector
- Kokasha: An obscure Language from an obscure family, from which the Family takes its name.
- Nakagun: An obscure Language from an obscure family, from which the Family takes its name.
- Roth Thokken: An obscure (and perhaps only) Roth Thokken Language from which the Family takes its name.
