Major Historical Events Timeline: 1105[edit]
These are some of the more important historical events that have affected this area:
- Three million years ago, a nearby supernova strained the ecosystems of surrounding space. Uraua Subsector was beyond the worst destruction, but several worlds were affected enough to generate the evolutionary pressure that caused life to move toward sapience. Four worlds here would eventually succeed in producing sophonts. Three were located in a close group near the spinward edge of the subsector.
- Two of these sophonts attained limited technological capabilities about 8,000 years ago, well before the K'kree began their Crusade. Radio contact was made not long after, and the Hiko and Jebbeni communicated enthusiastically, driving further technological development. The Hiko reached space first, as they were less trapped by gravity than the Jebbeni and somewhat better suited to flight and the environment of space. The Hiko planned an expedition to visit the Jebbeni. Nearly a century later, the expedition was finally ready, with an experimental drive system developed jointly.
- When the K'kree Crusade reached these worlds several thousand years later, they found two technologically advanced worlds and a third world full of less advanced beings known as the Beroda, all long dead and fallen mid-step, with no discernible cause. The expeditionary ship was never found, and the technological records regarding its drive apparently did not survive on either world. The K'kree, spooked by such localized yet unidentifiable destruction, left the worlds alone, and declined to include them in their borders.
