Description (Astrography & Planetology)[edit]
Stellar Data[edit]
History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
Triad was colonized after 620 on the Imperial Calendar. The mainworld is named after its three continents, partitioned by the planet's 70% Hydrosphere of oceans and seas. The Third Imperium erected a forward observation post which grew into a full Naval Base with the mission to sound advanced warning of further incursions from the Vargr Extents. When the terrestrial and coastal surface of Triad was found viable for arable land and teeming with indigenous wildlife, the mainworld soon acquired the Agricultural and Rich Trade Classifications, as an export industry to the stellar cluster and greater subsector brought in wealth. Livestock and crops comprise the majority commodities, enriching Triad. Triad's importance influences trade routes in its Jump-3 neighborhood.
Since the end of the Second Frontier War, relaxed relations between Extents Vargr and Humaniti resulted in settlement by Gvegh Vargr of Gvurrdon Sector and Aekhu Vargr from Deneb and Tuglikki. However, local Humaniti managed to provide a suitable, charismatic (in Vargr mindset) leader to lubricate the labor workforces across the various industries. This disillusioned the Vargr communities. The Gvegh and Aekhu Vargr were soon polling their own kind for candidates, thus creating racial factions on Triad. The Human reaction to this fracturing was lacking, thus Triad gained a Balkanized rating.
Oberlindes Lines has a corporate presence on Triad, servicing the Uthe Subsector.
Triad Empire[edit]
Following the Fourth Frontier War, Triad fell into isolation. Admiral Junuz Kam, formally of the Imperial Navy, mustered out of service and returned to the home of his family on Triad. Hating chaos, Kam began to assert order and dominance. Within six months, he was receiving loyalty pledges far and wide. By the ninth month following his arrival, he was named Alpha. Being an Imperial Vargr with a long service with the navy, he despised disorder, and he tended to lean on his background instead of his racial heritage. The population found his attitude formidable and impressive. The newly formed world government was called the Triad Empire, and he was named Emperor Junuz I.
Fifth Frontier War[edit]
It is rumored that the Oberlindes Lines, Lightning-class Heavy Cruiser Emissary was instrumental in repelling a raid by Kforuzeng Corsairs shortly after the Fifth Frontier War. Further rumors whisper that the raid was contracted by Gvaeknoks, a competitor to Oberlindes Lines, a contract that was cancelled by the Corsairs.
Later Era: Rebellion[edit]
The Naval Base on Triad saw an assault in 1117 by a renewed Kforuzeng bolstered by the Glass Bond coalition treaty with the Commonality of Kedzudh. The intent was to rid the subsector of Imperial presence. Imperial hulls were captured by the coalition. Very few escaped the assault before the coalition of Kforuzeng and Kedzudh moved on to Pandrin.
Regency Naval forces reestablished the Naval Base on Triad, removing remnant Kforuzeng occupation in late 1130. Rumors of the death of a Kforuzeng leader circulated after the dust settled.
