Description (Specifications)[edit]
Once a person is enlisted into the Imperial Navy and has passed basic training, that person will have the rank of Spacehand Apprentice.
- The equivalent rank in the Imperial Marines is Marine.
In other services:
- The equivalent rank in the Imperial Army (Close Orbit and Airspace Control Command) is Airhand.
- The equivalent rank in the Imperial Army (Ground Force Command) is Private.
- The equivalent rank in the Imperial Army (Nautical Force Command) is Sailor Apprentice.
History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
The name Spacehand denotes a person working in space and the Apprentice title denotes one under training. A fair assessment of newly recruited members of the Imperial Navy.
In recent years, the term Crewman has been used in place of Spacehand in some fleets.
