Description (Specifications)[edit]
Each named fleet of the Imperial Navy is commanded by a Sector Admiral.
A senior officer from each Imperial Navy Branch as Imperial head of that branch and advising on the technical requirements of that branch to a Grand Admiral is an officer of equivalent rank to that of a Sector Admiral, but is a General Admiral known as a Staff Admiral and holds the title Senior Flag Officer ([Branch]) e.g. Senior Flag Officer (Engineering).[1]
History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
Each named fleet in the Imperium will be commanded by a Sector Admiral, although this may occasionally be a temporary post for an officer of lesser substantive rank awaiting confirmation of promotion. All Sector Admiral appointments have to be confirmed by the Emperor and appointment to this rank attracts the title of Baron [2][3]. i.e. Should there not be any appropriate baronial candidate, the Noble appointed will be granted a Baronry by the Emperor as part of the promotion process.
