Siantaats is a low-population world with a population of less than 10,000 sophonts in size.
- This world has yet to take off economically or otherwise and the population remains low for reasons largely unknown.
- It is a member of the Zhodani Consulate in the Izellensjdash Subsector of Yiklerzdanzh Sector.
- It is a mainworld which is a satellite of either a gas giant or another world.
- This is a tidally-locked world with one side permanently locked to a gravity source and the other permanently facing away. Most commonly locked worlds are natural satellites of a larger planet or gas giant.
- This is a temperate world, with a climate of pleasant, average temperatures, considered to be an ideal or near-ideal environment by many different sophont species.
- It is a member of the Yiklerzdanzh Main.
Description (Astrography & Planetology)[edit]
Stellar Data[edit]
Siantaats has a solitary primary star.
- It is a white main sequence.
System Data[edit]
The worlds of the system have been partially surveyed. They consist of:
- The mainworld, the only moon of a large secondary rocky world.
- An unknown total number of secondary rocky worlds.
- x4 gas giants.
Mainworld Data[edit]
Siantaats is the moon of a large exotic atmosphere secondary world named Tatsaz.
- Tatsaz: UWP Y8A2000-0
It is tidally locked to its primary world, with one side permanently facing the larger planet.
The mainworld and its large primary world orbit within the star's Habitable Zone.
- They lie within the zone's prime H region.
- They receive moderate levels of stellar energy.
Mainworld Size (S)[edit]
Siantaats is a Small World between 2,400km and 4,000km in diameter. The world has low gravity between 0.1G and 0.17G. The horizon will appear about 2.5km away.
- Tidal stresses generated by the world's large primary planet cause frequent seismic and geological activity.
Mainworld Atmosphere (A)[edit]
Siantaats has a pressure of 0.43 to 0.70 atmospheres. The Thin Atmosphere does not require survival gear although it may be hard on sophonts not accustomed to it.
- It experiences moderate temperatures.
Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)[edit]
Siantaats has 45-55% of its surface covered by liquid water. Wilderness refueling is possible.
Mainworld Geography and Topography[edit]
No centrally held map of the world exists within AAB Library Data records.
(Blank map, predominantly dry world.)
History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
Siantaats lies on the Yiklerzdanzh Main, the major trade route within the sector.
- An eclectic mix of high cargo capacity, low jump rating vessels move along the Main, carrying vast amounts of goods and commodities between its member worlds.
(Chart sourced from Traveller Map)
- Worlds on the Main are marked in green.
World Starport (St)[edit]
Siantaats has a Class C Starport, an average quality installation which features amenities including unrefined fuel for starships, some brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing maintenance and other kinds of repair. Ports of this classification generally have only a downport, unless this is a trade port or system with an hostile environment mainworld.
World Population (P)[edit]
Siantaats has a population of 3,000 sophonts (thousands).
- This is a Low Population World and the population would be too low to sustain itself without a little outside assistance. This may represent the home base of a sizable but mostly transient population such as the base of a major starship expedition, the last generation of a dying colony, the first generation of a new colony, or a large outpost that will probably evolve into a colony if not stopped.
Linguistic Topography[edit]
The most widely spoken language is Zdetl.
World Technology Level (T)[edit]
Siantaats possesses a Technology Level of TL–9.
- Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Fiber optics and satellite communication and data networks.
- Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Early fusion power.
- Common Transportation technologies for this TL include:
- Land: Ultra high-speed trains and early grav vehicles.
- Water: High efficiency sailcraft, multihulled seacraft, improved artificial gills.
- Air: Tiltrotorcraft, exotic VTOL's, PARWIG, and rocket-assisted suborbitals.
- Space: SSTO spacecraft, early military spacecraft (System Craft), and interstellar STL starships
- FTL: Prototype Jump Drive-1.
World Government (G)[edit]
Siantaats has no central government or substantial government apparatus; an Anarchy. The largest governmental structure would be a family, tribe, or single clan. The largest group will be between 50 and 100 individuals, and there may be dozens to hundreds of them. This governmental structure can be stable over long periods of time if the population remains small or geographically separated.
World Law (L)[edit]
Siantaats has a moderate law level with laws covering many areas of government and interaction. These laws are simple enough that most people can act as their own advocate, though for serious issues a professional is recommended. Law enforcement officials will be present, but not in great numbers. Light assault weapons, and anything more destructive, are typically regulated or prohibited.
Three broad categories of crime are recognized by the Zhodani Consulate: inadvertent, incited, and insane. The concept of premeditated crime for personal gain fits under the insane heading.
- Inadvertent crime is an unintentional violation or infraction of the law, resulting from inattention. For minor cases the usual punishment is a small fine.
- Incited crime is an infraction of a law brought about by another, often resulting from an overreaction to inadvertent crime or misfortune. The solution is re-education.
- Insane crime is a general heading for most major crimes against property or individuals.
World Culture[edit]
The Zhodani Consulate promotes the belief system of Tavrziansh, Morality's Path.
