Remol is a non-agricultural, preindustrial, icy vacuum world, warranting hazardous environment precautions.
- Its surface is ice-capped with little or no atmosphere and nearly all of its water frozen.
- It is unable to produce quality foodstuffs and must import them.
- It is a world working toward being an industrial powerhouse but lacks an adequate workforce to do so.
- It is a Non-Aligned world dominated by human sophonts located in the Bride Subsector of Mavuzog Sector.
Description (Astrography & Planetology)[edit]
Stellar Data[edit]
Remol is a binary star system.
- Both are red subdwarf stars.

System Data[edit]
- x1 Mainworld
- x6 secondary worlds
- x4 Gas Giants
Mainworld Data[edit]
Remol is a satellite of a gas giant.
The mainworld and its gas giant primary world orbit within the outer system.
- They receive very low levels of stellar energy.
Mainworld Size (S)[edit]
Remol is a Small World between 4,000km and 5,600km in diameter. The world has low gravity between 0.24G and 0.34G. The horizon will appear about 3km away.
Mainworld Atmosphere (A)[edit]
Remol has a pressure of less than 0.001 atmospheres which requires the use of a Vacc Suit. TL–8 or more advanced survival gear is required to settle this world.
- Vacuum worlds have no climate, but experience extreme differences in temperature between direct starlight and shade.
Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)[edit]
Remol has 05-15% of its surface covered by ice, either in vast sheets or contained deep within craters or fractures on the surface. Wilderness refueling is possible. Water for the inhabitants can be got by mining and melting ice.
- The surface of the world is composed of a crust of ice many kilometers thick.
- Much of the surface is cratered and covered in thick layers of regolith and dust of meteoric origin, leaving only a small amount of the icy outer shell exposed.
- Below the outer icy shell there may be a world-ocean of liquid water.
Mainworld Geography and Topography[edit]
No centrally held map of the world exists within AAB Library Data records.
- Locally, detailed maps may be available.
(Placeholder chart, vacuum world.)
Native Lifeforms[edit]
Possible primitive sub-ice native life.
History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
The system's stars experience periodic bouts of flare activity, which causes interference, strange tones and noises, and heavy static on commo and sensors.
- During major outbursts of flare activity radiation levels within the system are dangerously high.
- Exposure to elevated radiation levels causes serious health issues and may damage unshielded electronic devices.
World Starport[edit]
Remol has a Class B Starport, a good quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and most kinds of repair, and construction of non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.
World Population (P)[edit]
Remol has a population of 80,000,000 sophonts (tens of millions).
World Technology Level[edit]
Remol possesses a Technology Level of TL–9.
- Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Fiber optics and satellite communication and data networks.
- Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Early fusion power.
- Common Transportation technologies for this TL include:
- Land: Ultra high-speed trains and early grav vehicles.
- Water: High efficiency sailcraft, multihulled seacraft, improved artificial gills.
- Air: Tiltrotorcraft, exotic VTOL's, PARWIG, and rocket-assisted suborbitals.
- Space: SSTO spacecraft, early military spacecraft (System Craft), and interstellar STL starships
- FTL: Prototype Jump Drive-1.
World Government[edit]
Remol is governed by an Impersonal Bureaucracy. The leadership of the government takes another form (democracy, dictatorship, oligarchy), but the bureaucracy dictates government policy and its execution. Government leadership is reduced to little more than figureheads and does not select the bureaucracy leadership or its members.
