The Reliant class Lifeboat is a TL–11 noncombatant Lifeboat.
Description (Specifications)[edit]
The Reliant-class lifeboat is simple to operate 20-ton launch with includes an option for operation as an automated lifeboat. The Base design include space for 2 crew, 5 passengers awake, and 20 long term operational low berths.
The ship includes many features to support automated survival in case of an emergency. The computer will, unless manually overridden, automatically launch the boat from the mother craft, enable broadcast of several standard emergency signals for up to 30 days, attempt to find the nearest habitable or inhabited world and pilot the craft there. If no response to the emergency signals are found, the ship will attempt an automated landing using a paragliding sail. The Lifeboat has several emergency survival kits onboard to ensure the long term survival of the passenger.
Used as a launch, the low berths can be removed and used to transport up to 10 tons of cargo or modified to hold 20 additional acceleration sets for passengers.
