• A fluid world has an oceanic geography consisting of heavily contaminated water or a substance such as ammonia, methane, hydrocarbons, or other exotic liquid.
• It requires extensive imports of outside technology to maintain a modern, star-faring society. Having to import most manufactured and high tech goods drives the price up for these items at this world.
• It is a member of the Corellan League in the Corella Subsector of the Beyond Sector.
• It is the homeworld of the Aniyun sophont species.
• This is a "low technology" world with technology competencies well below standard for Charted Space.

Quatenon is a Meso World between 12,000km and 13,500km in diameter. The world has a standard gravity between 0.8G and 1.1G. The horizon will appear about 5.1km away. Vessels with 1G of thrust should check with local starport authorities before attempting to land using emergency power.

Mainworld Atmosphere (A)

Quatenon has an Exotic Atmosphere and possesses an unusual gas mix which requires the use of oxygen tanks. Additionally, protective suits, while not necessary, are recommended. TL–8 or more advanced survival gear is required to settle this world.

Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)

Quatenon has 55-65% of its surface covered by liquid water. It has significant large liquid bodies. Wilderness refueling is possible.

World Starport

Quatenon has a Class D Starport, a poor quality installation which has few of the expected amenities. There is unrefined fuel for starships and a limited variety of ship provisions. There is no shipyard of any kind, but there may be parts and technical support for doing minor services and repair. Ports of this classification generally consist of only a downport, unless this is a trade port or system with an hostile environment mainworld.

Quatenon has a population of 2,000,000 sophonts (millions).

• This is a Nonindustrial World, too small to support the complete chain of production of most goods from start to finish.
• The population consists of Aniyun.

Urbanization

Aniyun communities consist of 40-100 members, either living in a village or in a distinct neighbourhood within a larger town. Village Aniyun focus on agriculture while also developing the craft and commerce professions required to run a small independent community.

World Technology Level (T)

Quatenon possesses a Technology Level of TL–4.

• Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Telephone and telegraphs, widespread printing.
• Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Early electricity, hydrocarbon internal combustion.

World Government (G)

Quatenon has a Balkanized Government. There is no central world government. The world has several governments competing for control of the world. These may be allies, cooperating, competitors, or at war with each other.

As a full member of the Corellan League, it sends two representatives to the League Assembly, which convenes aboard the Capital Orbital habitat, a station in geosynchronous orbit above Corella.

World Law (L)

Quatenon has a moderate law level with laws covering many areas of government and interaction. These laws are simple enough that most people can act as their own advocate, though for serious issues a professional is recommended. Law enforcement officials will be present, but not in great numbers. Light assault weapons, and anything more destructive, are typically regulated or prohibited.

The Aniyun evolved from flying scavengers living in forest-like environments.

• Circa -4200: Aniyun agriculture begins with the first town-sized settlements.
• Circa -3200: Aniyun use of metals
• Circa -1900: Aniyun society at TL-4, benefiting from the invention of steam engines
• -1525: Corellan scouts make first contact with the Aniyun.
• -1380: Quatenon becomes a member of the Corellan League.
