Mainworld Atmosphere (A)[edit]

Pikhadi has a pressure of 0.10 to 0.42 atmospheres. The very thin pressures require a respirator or Oxygen Mask. This atmosphere also contains an unusual taint such as disease, a hazardous gas mix, pollutants, or sulfur compounds, which requires the use of a Filter Respirator Combination Mask. Some taints may require more protective equipment. TL–5 or more advanced survival gear is required to settle this world.

History & Background (Dossier)[edit]

World Starport (Sp)[edit]

Pikhadi has a Class A Starport, an excellent quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and other kinds of repair, and construction of both starships and non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.

World Population (P)[edit]

Pikhadi has a population of 7,000 sophonts (thousands).

  • This is a Low Population World and the population would be too low to sustain itself without a little outside assistance. This may represent the home base of a sizable but mostly transient population such as the base of a major starship expedition, the last generation of a dying colony, the first generation of a new colony, or a large outpost that will probably evolve into a colony if not stopped.

World Demographics[edit]

Nearly 100% of the population are Lamura, consisting of the human Lamura Teg and the non-human Lamura Gav.

World Languages[edit]

The Cytrialin language is a derived form of an old Vilani dialect.

World Government (G)[edit]

Pikhadi has no central government or substantial government apparatus; an Anarchy. The largest governmental structure would be a family, tribe, or single clan. The largest group will be between 50 and 100 individuals, and there may be dozens to hundreds of them. This governmental structure can be stable over long periods of time if the population remains small or geographically separated.

World Culture[edit]

The guiding philosophy of the Lamura people is a lengthy work called the Cytrialin. The Cytrialin is both a rough and biased history of the Lamura peoples as well as a complex system of ethics and morality, alongside a compilation of practical advice for life. Because so many of the Lamura are noted for reading or quoting the Cytrialin when in distress or seeking answers to a difficult problem, they have gained a reputation for being fanatics and impractical mystics, though the text is noted for genuinely effective systems for practical problem solving.
