Garr is a high-population, pre-rich garden world with a billion or more sophonts in population size, and a near-ideal utopian environment conducive to most sophonts, but still lacks adequate population to expand its economy to a rich status.

  • Its economy and population are rapidly growing and living conditions are expected to quickly rise barring outside forces.
  • It is a member of the Corellan League in the Corella Subsector of Beyond Sector.
  • This planet was once named Tatiana.

Mainworld Data[edit]

Mainworld Size (S)[edit]

Garr is a Meso World between 12,000km and 13,500km in diameter. The world has a standard gravity between 0.8G and 1.1G. The horizon will appear about 5.1km away. Vessels with 1G of thrust should check with local starport authorities before attempting to land using emergency power.

Mainworld Atmosphere (A)[edit]

Garr has a pressure of 0.71 to 1.49 atmospheres. A Standard Atmosphere does not require survival gear and will likely be easy for most sophonts to breathe.

Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)[edit]

Garr has 65-75% of its surface covered by liquid water. It has significant large liquid bodies. Wilderness refueling is possible.

History & Background (Dossier)[edit]

Garr was first settled in -1535.

Garr is currently defined by descendants of refugees from a religious schism on Jeremiah, the Jeremiahan Revelationist Congregation. This sect promotes large families, partially explaining Garr's high population.

World Starport[edit]

Garr has a Class D Starport, a poor quality installation which has few of the expected amenities. There is unrefined fuel for starships and a limited variety of ship provisions. There is no shipyard of any kind, but there may be parts and technical support for doing minor services and repair. Ports of this classification generally consist of only a downport, unless this is a trade port or system with an hostile environment mainworld.

World Population (P)[edit]

Garr has a population of 4,000,000,000 sophonts (billions).

Linguistic Topography[edit]

The common language is "Corellan Galanglic", a distinct dialect of Anglic.

World Technology Level (TL)[edit]

Garr possesses a Technology Level of TL–4.

World Government (G)[edit]

Garr is governed by a Religious Dictatorship. The leadership of the government is another form (democracy, dictatorship, oligarchy). There is a powerful independent organization, the state religion, which has influence or direct control of the government. Like the bureaucratic governments this may simply be a strong influence with a secular government, be direct influence by virtue of controlling who may be in the leadership, or be a direct theocracy where the church leadership and bureaucracy is the government.

  • The Jeremiahan Revelationist Congregation governs this world.

As a full member of the Corellan League, Garr sends two representatives to the League Assembly, which convenes aboard the Capital Orbital habitat, a station in geosynchronous orbit above Corella.

World Military[edit]

World Culture[edit]

A tradition of curt speech is prevalent throughout society: "Not two words when one is clear; not two syllables when one is fine", or as a more strict Revelationist would say: "Just one word; just one sound."
