Filentred is an agricultural, nonindustrial world still lacking adequate means to expand its economy.

Description (Planetology)[edit]

Much of the land surface of Filentred is home to several species of plant whose pollen is a severe irritant to humans. For this reason, the majority of the population dwell at sea. This does not remove the taint completely, but distance and moist air cause much of the pollen to drop to the surface, reducing the burden on filtration systems.

History & Background (Dossier)[edit]

Filentred is the trailing-side anchor for the Trans-Islands Run which is the access route to the Islands Cluster. From here, it's possible to make a single J4 (or two tedious J2) towards Riftspan Station.

Urbanization[edit]

The 700,000 or so inhabitants mostly live in cities of about 50,000-100,000 people located in shallow waters off the coasts of islands that have been cleared of the offending pollen-producing vegetation. The land is used for agriculture, though most of Filentred’s food comes from the sea. The cities each have a governor who wields considerable power but answers to the world’s ruling class.
