Fhaia has the population located in one or more dwarf planets or planetesimals in a co-orbital position, an asteroid belt. The system has a population between 10,000 and 10 million, lacking the industrial base to be completely self-supporting. It is a member of Third Imperium in the Khandi Subsector of Dagudashaag Sector and in the Domain of Vland. Fhaia, as a member world of the Third Imperium, holds the estate of an Imperial knight, a member of the Imperial Landed Nobility who acts as an Imperial representative to the world. During the Long Night this world was named Iisgii Liguu.

Astrography and Planetology[edit]

Fhaia is a member of the Rusadaa Trace.

Mainworld Data[edit]

Fhaia is a collection of over a hundred inhabited asteroids in the Fhaia Belt located in orbit 3.

Mainworld Size (S)[edit]

Fhaia is an Asterioid Belt or Planetoid Belt consisting of a few very large objects with diameters of hundreds of kilometers, thousands of bodies of a few kilometers in diameter, and millions of smaller objects. Asteroid Belt is used when the belt is the mainworld of a system. Planetoid Belt refers to any non-mainworld belt within a system.

Mainworld Atmosphere (A)[edit]

Fhaia has a pressure of less than 0.001 atmospheres which requires the use of a Vacc Suit. TL–8 or more advanced survival gear is required to settle this world.

Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)[edit]

Fhaia has no free-standing water or ice on the surface. Wilderness refueling isn't possible on this world. Water for the inhabitants needs to be imported and extensively recycled. These worlds are classified Desert World or a Hell World depending on their atmosphere.

History and Background[edit]

The system was owned by Metallurgias Generales SA (GenMett) who leased out sectors of the belt to independent miners.

In 999, GenMett was approached by McKenzie Extractions (MacEx), as it appears the system was finally exhausted of its more valuable minerals. A deal was agreed and the final hand over was set for 1102. Many of the miners, having lived there for generations, were unhappy with the idea of being evicted.

In 1101 a large deposit of platinum was discovered by one of the independent miners and within a few days GenMett pulled out of their deal with MacEx. Within weeks the system was swamped by a wave of new miners hoping to find another big strike. A few other smaller discoveries have been made, but no large ones.

The miner who found the original large platinum deposit invested her money in an entertainment module, and has made a small fortune selling imported entertainment to the locals.

World Starport (Sp)[edit]

Fhaia has a Class B Starport, a good quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and most kinds of repair, and construction of non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.
