Felicity is a low-population world with a population of less than 10,000 sophonts in size.
- This world has yet to take off economically or otherwise and the population remains low for reasons largely unknown.
- This is a cold world with an overall climate that is at the lower temperature range of human-congruous sophont endurance.
- It is a member of the Third Imperium in the Iingar Subsector of Daibei Sector in the Domain of Ilelish.
- Some evidence suggests this planet was once called Higecok.
Description / Astrography & Planetology[edit]
- The world is part of the Zehpyr Trace.

System Data[edit]
System:
- 3 Gas Giants
- 2 Planetoid Belts
- 2 Other Worlds
Mainworld Data[edit]
- The surface gravity is 0.9 Gs and the atmospheric pressure is 1.21 atmospheres. The molten iron core yields a density of 5.63 g/ml. The climate is cool as the planet orbits 0.73 AU from its primary.
- Felicity has an Importance rating of 0 (Unimportant).
- Importance Extension- 0
- (The Importance Extension (Ix) ranks worlds within a region. It governs the locations of capitals and trade routes. )
Mainworld Atmosphere[edit]
Felicity has a pressure of 1.50 to 2.49 atmospheres. A Dense Atmosphere requires no survival gear although it may be hard on sophonts not accustomed to it.
Mainworld Geography & Topography[edit]
The planet has vast oceans, with just a few island archipelagos. This combined with the thick, dense air makes for some spectacular storms, and very rough weather. As a result, shuttle rides to the surface, and the subsequent carrier landings are often described as exciting, especially at night in the flashing lightning of the storm squalls. The only distraction is provided by the constant barrage of corporate commercials and promotional media provided in lieu of in-flight entertainment.

Native Lifeforms[edit]
No native life ever developed here, expansive empty oceans, unperturbed skies, and silent islands greeted the earliest scouts. A limited, controlled number of imported species are keep in sealed habitats and agricultural domes for the use of the citizens. Great pains are taken to keep any alien life from contaminating the planet.

Imperial High / Landed Nobility[edit]
Felicity, as a member world of the Third Imperium has a member of the Imperial Nobility overseeing the world.
- It holds the estate of an Imperial knight.
- There is an imperial knight assigned to this planet. The current knight assigned sees himself as a steward, charged with protecting this planetary asset in the name of the emperor and as a vassal of greater local lords, native to the Iingar Subsector. As time drags on he has had occasion to wonder aloud about this honor as a trial, a punishment or an elaborate test of his supreme imperial loyalty. He wonders about his career and what he ever did to the imperial scout service to warrant the stringent protocols required to protect "his" planet. Journalists tasked with watching nobles and reporting on their antics have noted; he often uses his Iinen Class Yacht, to travel as much as possible to visit any nobles in the subsector who will receive him. He apparently wants to remain visible and relevant in social circles.
World Starport[edit]
Felicity has a Class C Starport, an average quality installation which includes amenities including unrefined fuel for starships, some brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing maintenance and other kinds of repair. Ports of this classification generally have only a downport, unless this is a trade port or system with an hostile environment mainworld.
- The small orbital station is bare bones. Spartan, automated and usually unmanned. Upon docking and receipt of port fees a shuttle will be dispatched to pick up visitors. A pair of shuttle pilots are available. They can remotely fly the shuttles, or may go in person, if properly motivated. The shuttles and their carriers are leased from local Megacorporation subsidiaries. Extensive logos and advertising covers nearly every available surface of the orbital station and these shuttles, all gratefully thanking the generous corporate sponsors.
The two shuttles operate from a pair of carriers. These automated and remotely operated carriers are very large fusion powered submarines which can launch and recovery the orbital shuttles. They facilitate refueling but lack refineries, they can merely pump and sell unrefined seawater, if desired. They have cargo handling ability and can ferry visiting traders and merchants to the estate and "business" terminal, adjacent to the main compound. The estate has workshops and tools to effect emergency repairs if need be. Some of the locals have limited engineering abilities. Spares and fabrication abilities are limited. Sometimes the stranded have to wait until the next ship arrives to get a chance to send an order for replacement parts. Supply runs are limited to a few times per year, to keep expenses low.
Occasionally, the knight can be persuaded to permit wilderness refueling at the system's three gas giants. Orbital beacons warn that unauthorized use of these planets is strongly discouraged. Automated weapon platforms, and vast mine fields are seeded throughout the atmospheric layers of these three gaseous worlds. Refueling runs, without precise navigational clearance will end in explosive results. The mines and weapon platforms have station keeping abilities and are self powered via solar arrays. The patterns shift constantly, in random ways. It is ill advised to risk these operations without paying for the appropriate navigational clearance.
Visiting ships are also unlikely to be granted permission to scoop fuel from the world's oceans directly. The knight feels that this is an invasion of his privacy. He dislikes the disruption of his "peace and quiet". Historically, the only people to get afforded these options are fellow nobles, especially higher ranking lords and ladies. Commercial concerns complain that being refueled in orbit by the interface shuttles, is like drinking way too much water through a very tiny straw. This slow service is especially felt by the larger thirsty merchants, with their copious fuel capacities. Use of the docks, and the shuttles, with the attendant refueling fees for the sale of the unrefined fuel, are some of the only revenue streams available to the estate directly.
World Technology Level[edit]
Felicity possesses a Technology Level of TL–10 or TL-A in Hexadecimal Notation.
- Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Holovision, Personal Global Communications, and advanced Translators.
- Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Increasingly advanced fusion plants and advanced fuel cells.
- Common Transportation technologies for this TL include:
- Land & Water: Grav belts and maturing gravcraft.
- Air: Greatly improved hybrid grav-aircraft.
- Space: Improved interplanetary spacecraft (System Craft).
- FTL: Jump Drive-1.
- There is a centralized command and control center. The starport and other areas have vehicles and equipment that can be operated directly or remotely from this facility on the knight's compound. A large array of radio, laser and microwave communication provide system wide links with the help of the orbital station's up-links and relays. The predominate design aesthetic seems to be derived from a very clean, utilitarian style for the barracks and compound buildings. The look is industrial and vaguely medical in decor. All entrances and exists are sealed with elaborate decontamination cycles required at each airlock. These of course are not trying to keep anything bad out, as on most frontier worlds, quite the opposite. Disposable, recycled hazardous materials suits, sealed head to toe are required to ensure the citizens do not infect this pristine planet.
When in port the knight has been generous enough, if properly induced, to charter his personal ship's boat, ATV and air raft for on planet tours and transportation needs. There are several spectacular sights, mountain ranges, canyons, waterfalls, beaches etc. These visually stunning, abiotic factors make for pleasant tours at nominal rates. The repeat visit value is doubtful.
World Government[edit]
Felicity has no central government for the world, an Anarchy. The largest governmental structure would be a family, tribe, or single clan. The largest group will be between 50 and 100 individuals, and there may be dozens to hundreds of them. This governmental structure can be stable over long periods of time if the population remains small or geographically separated.
- When the knight is off world, the families and employees can look after themselves as they see fit. Strict regulations do preclude the importation of any forms of life, to this sterile petri dish planet. No one will have any personal, physical contact, skin to skin with visitors for any reason. All facilities on planet are tightly sealed to maintain the atmospheric pressure differences. No citizens are seen without their sealed hygiene suits. Visitors to the surface undergo very intensive decontamination procedures, and must remain suited up at all times.
World Law Level[edit]
- No prohibitions
World Military[edit]
There is a very small personal security detail on contract to protect the knight when he travels. The number and composition of this force varies over time. Many of these mercenaries are retired imperial military. Other that that, the families have to look out for each other. Several of the people selected to work and live here are also retired military from various branches and specialties. Several applicants stated that they wanted to live somewhere, quiet and out of the way. Be careful what you wish for.
World Economy[edit]
Extremely limited, supplies are ordered and deliveries are made against the knight's personal accounts. There really isn't any world economy as such. The people who live here in service to the knight, do their best to be self sufficient. Occasionally replacement and repair parts or technology unavailable on world must be ordered and the knight's staff makes a list of needs and wants. Several members of the extended household have expressed interest in using some of their extensive collection of accumulated sick bank and leave/days off, to travel off world. The quiet, antiseptic emptiness of this world, has been noted to be unsettling to some, after awhile.
The knight would like the system's belts surveyed in greater detail, if time and money will ever permit. He feels his eventual promotion to baron will require the exploitation of the mineral reserves of the system's two belts.
Economics: ( 8 0 1 −4 )
- Resources-8 (Moderate)
- (Resources are any materials available for processing and exploitation. They include natural resources, minerals, ores, metals, energy sources, biological assets, and any other materials of limited availability.)
- Labor-0 (Unpopulated)
- (Labor is the workforce available for the processing and exploitation of Resources.)
- Infrastructure-1 (Extremely limited)
- (Infrastructure is the established technical structures that support exploitation of resources. Infrastructure includes roads, power grids, communications, and factories.)
- Efficiency- -4 (Very poor)
- (Efficiency reflects the current economic system, and includes sensible legal procedures, appropriate tariffs, customs promoting a balanced work ethic, rewards for merit, and social structures which match ability and job. Negative Efficiency is worse. Efficiency at -1 or less turn the RUs available negative: the Inefficiencies are so destructive as to make the economy a net drain. Such barriers represent a welfare state; cultural influences which do not value wealth, even physical limitations. On the other hand, since some economies have positive efficiencies: positive multipliers increasing available RU. )
- Economic Extension- 5
- (The Economic Extension (Ex) is the strength of a world economy and provides basic insights into the economy’s structure and capabilities.)
- Resource Units- -32
- (The world's budget.)
Trade Data[edit]
- Lo-Low Population
World Demographics[edit]
- Most of the population come from a handful of loyal families. These are the personal employees, servants or sworn retainers of the Knight, and his estate.
- Humaniti, population 100%
World Culture[edit]
Culture: [ 1 1 1 5 ]
- Homogeneity-1 (Monolithic)
- (Homogeneity is a measure of the degree to which members of society hold common beliefs. Members of very homogeneous cultures are in strong agreement on the fundamentals of society (usually basic rights, religion, and methods of interaction). Members of non-homogeneous cultures hold many different beliefs on the fundamentals of society.)
- Acceptance-1 (Extremely xenophobic)
- (Acceptance is the degree of xenophobia ( or xenophilia ) in the culture. High Acceptance is evidenced by friendliness to outsiders and offworlders; Low Acceptance is characterized by fear or rejection of outsiders.)
- Strangeness-1 (Very typical)
- (Strangeness is the degree of difference from the norms of interstellar society. High Strangeness is evidenced by unusual or outwardly incomprehensible actions, statements, or responses in the course daily activity. Low Strangeness reflects activities close to interstellar norms.)
- Symbols-5 (Concrete)
- (Symbols used by the culture may range from the concrete (idols; totems; statuary) to the abstract (symbolized belief systems; group affiliations).)
