Description (Specifications)[edit]
In theory each planet in the Alliance is independent of the others. In practice, the Alliance Ruling Council rules the Alliance more completely than the Empire ran most of its worlds. Uniformly the planets are ruled by Impersonal Bureaucracies and have high law levels. Outsiders are discouraged. Technology is evenly distributed throughout the Alliance.
History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
Several hundred years ago this sector was settled by followers of the Drak-Arr Foundation. Their unpopular views had gotten them chased out of the Central Imperial Worlds. These people believed that the human condition can and should be improved. They advocated the use of eugenics and gene manipulation to produce a superior human.
Out in the frontier areas they were free to experiment. To an extent their theories have been proven successful. Humans of the Alliance live 20% longer, are 30% stronger, have higher IQ's and are healthier than the human average. However, their birth rate is lower. In addition, there are those who believe that the Drak-Arrs have bred joy out of their people. It is true that luxury items are of low priority to these people. Marriage and children are tightly controlled by governments. Martial skills are encouraged and these people make excellent soldiers.
