In Chuck Kallenbach's 1991 Paranoia Press updates, the Drak-Arr Alliance roughly corresponds with a polity in the coretrailing part of The Beyond that lies within the cluster of stars directly between Die Weltbund and the Mal'Gnar Primarchic. This cluster was originally unlabelled on the Old Paranoia Press material, though the old print versions of The Traveller Map designated a small unspecified polity in this location.
Sunbane data located the Katanga Empire in roughly this position, but that polity was definitely smaller in size.
