Cinhoss is a nonindustrial hellworld with a population struggling to survive in an inhospitable environment.

  • Hellworlds often offer daily, and sometimes even hourly, life-threatening situations to their inhabitants. Survivors often form intense survival skills and tend to be grim realists.
  • It requires extensive imports of outside technology to maintain a modern, star-faring society.
  • It is a Non-Aligned world dominated by human sophonts located in the Andwella Subsector of Vanguard Reaches Sector.
  • This world-system has a Naval Base, usually associated with military starships, which may be located on or off-world.
  • This is a "high technology" world with technology achievements at, near, or over technology standards for Charted Space.
  • This world is a colony of Maya.

History & Background (Dossier)[edit]

Originally named Noram, Cinhoss was occasionally occupied by prospectors between 630 and 1015 but had no recognised permanent population until Mayan forces expelled a corsair band based in the outer asteroid belt and occupied the system in 1015. The Council of Worlds Agreement formally recognised Maya's claim to the system.

World Starport[edit]

Cinhoss has a Class B Starport, a good quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and most kinds of repair, and construction of non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.

  • There is an associated Naval Base.
  • Commercial facilities at Cinhoss High are high quality but overpriced. Strong enforcement of commercial and civil regulations keeps fraud and theft to a minimum. Strict weapons regulations and a paramilitary police force deter violence.

World Population (P)[edit]

Cinhoss has a population of 600,000 sophonts (hundreds of thousands).

  • This is a Nonindustrial World, too small to support the complete chain of production of most goods from start to finish.

World Technology Level (T)[edit]

Cinhoss possesses a Technology Level of TL–13 or TL-D in Hexadecimal Notation.

  • Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Holovideo recorders.
  • Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Miniature super-batteries, prototype collectors, advanced fusion plants.
  • Common Transportation technologies for this TL include:

World Government (G)[edit]

Cinhoss has a Captive Government or Colony. The world is ruled by an external government, there is no self-rule. A colony or conquered area. The local government is an oligarchy appointed by, and answerable only to, the external government.

This world is governed from Maya.

World Law (L)[edit]

Cinhoss has an extreme law level which covers every area of interaction. Laws are complex, detailed, and difficult to understand. Every interaction with the government requires an Advocate. Law enforcement is omnipresent and strict. Legal proceeding can take months to years to resolve and may involve dozens of people. A few worlds with this law level may be a Red Zone and others will be an Amber Zone. All objects specifically manufactured as weapons are typically regulated or prohibited (with no exception for private residences; visiting starships are only protected so long as they stay within designated starports and approach corridors).
