The Chariot class System Defense Boat is a defensive warship.
- It is a military ship and a System Defense Boat.
Description (Specifications)[edit]
While the fuel supply is sufficient to allow thirty days of operation at maximum power, it is more often stretched to provide 75 days of operation at 40% power, enough for 1-G maneuver and full life support. If operated in life support and passive sensor only mode, as with a loiter operation during an enemy attack on the system, only one percent of the power capacity is required. This would allow the vessel to wait up to 4375 days between fuelings—which is to say, as long as necessary. Armament of the Chariot is two triple beam laser turrets, three triple missle launcher turrets, and one triple sandcaster turret, each as an individual battery. Targeting is provided by a model-7 computer. The Chariot also carries a 30-ton ships boat, a launch used for refueling and resupply while on active duty.

The small craft factor indicates the number of squadrons (...of ten subcraft) carried on the ship. Tonnage on the universal ship profile is shown in kilotons (...thousands of tons) where necessary.
