Bathreda is a poor, barren world with no overt population, government, or law level.
- This world could be populated if anyone had an inclination to do so...
- It is an unclaimed Non-Aligned world located in the La Grone Subsector of Iphigenaia Sector.
- It is a mainworld which is a satellite of either a gas giant or another world.
- It is a chilly tundra world, with a climate of low temperatures.
- Bathreda is a protected world, under the legal jurisdiction of the Regency of Muirimi.
Description (Astrography & Planetology)[edit]
Stellar Data[edit]
Bathreda has a solitary primary star.
- It is an orange main sequence.
System Data[edit]
The worlds of the system have been surveyed. They consist of:
- The mainworld.
- x4 secondary rocky worlds.
- x3 gas giants.
Mainworld Data[edit]
Bathreda is a satellite of a gas giant.
The mainworld and its gas giant primary orbit within the star's Habitable Zone.
- They lie within the zone's colder outer H- region.
- They receive lower levels of stellar energy.
- They orbit inside the star's Jump Shadow.
Mainworld Size (S)[edit]
Bathreda is a Small World between 4,000km and 5,600km in diameter. The world has low gravity between 0.24G and 0.34G. The horizon will appear about 3km away.
- Regions of the surface contain valuable mineral deposits.
Mainworld Atmosphere (A)[edit]
Bathreda has a pressure of 0.43 to 0.70 atmospheres. The Thin Atmosphere does not require survival gear although it may be hard on sophonts not accustomed to it.
Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)[edit]
Bathreda has 25-35% of its surface covered by liquid water. It has a few small seas. Wilderness refueling is possible. Water for the inhabitants will be recycled.
- The world experiences low temperatures.
- Much of the surface is a frozen, hostile environment.
Mainworld Geography and Topography[edit]
No centrally held map of the world exists within AAB Library Data records.
- Locally, detailed maps may be available.
- Verified updated charts are constantly sought.
- Detailed survey data commands premium prices.
(Placeholder chart, predominantly dry world.)
Native Lifeforms[edit]
Primitive native life. Its metabolic functions drive the process of atmospheric renewal.
History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
Bathreda is a frontier, a wild and lonely place that rarely sees visitors. Many of the planets and moons within it have ever have had an intelligent being visit them.
- Information about the system is limited.
- The resources of the system are largely untapped.
The system is unpopulated.
- Commercial traffic is extremely rare: the system sees very few visiting ships.
- Commo only picks up natural background noise and static.
- There are no active navigation beacons.
- Vessels are unlikely be operating among the other worlds and moons that make up the system.
Note that social data, though only 40 years old, may be out of date: previously undocumented groups may now inhabit the system and maintain their own culture, forms of government, and systems of law.
- Verified updated data is constantly sought.
World Starport (St)[edit]
Bathreda does not have a starport. The Class X Starport is an indication that no starport exists in the system. There are no facilities or services available, and no site marked for landing.
World Population (P)[edit]
Bathreda is a Barren World with no sophont population. It may still possess lifeforms.
World Technology Level (T)[edit]
Bathreda possesses a Tech Level of TL–0.
- The world has no technological base.
World Government (G)[edit]
Bathreda has no government or ruling authority of any kind.
World Law (L)[edit]
Bathreda has a low law level. There are few laws covering only specific areas.
Some regions of the surface contain valuable mineral deposits.
- Known deposits are legally claimed, though they are not being actively worked.
- Legal claims are backed by the judicial system of the Regency of Muirimi.
Materials originating on Bathreda can be identified by their unique chemical and spectral signatures.
- Removal of materials from the surface is illegal and bounty hunters are tasked with tracking down known offenders.
- Possession of materials of Bathredan origin is considered evidence of guilt.
Trade Data[edit]
- Importance: -3 (very unimportant)
World Economy[edit]
- Resources: 7 (few)
- Labor: 0 (unpopulated)
- Infrastructure: 0 (non-existent)
- Efficiency: -5 (extremely poor)
World Culture[edit]
- Homogeneity: 0 (none)
- Acceptance: 0 (none)
- Strangeness: 0 (none)
- Symbols: 0 (none)
World Timeline[edit]

- 995-1065: the Second Survey charts the system.
- 1065: the Second Survey is published.
