Amberinth is an unclassified world with no trade codes. It has not yet been surveyed by the IISS.
- It is a member of the Galian Federation in the Arconna Subsector of Gateway Sector.
- This is the homeworld of the Dastri sophontic species.
Description (Astrography & Planetology)[edit]
Stellar Data[edit]
Mainworld Data[edit]
A pleasant world originally reserved for the estates of many of the wealthier magnates of the early corporate days of the sector, Amberinth has recently been opened to wholesale colonization and exploitation.
Mainworld Atmosphere (A)[edit]
Amberinth has a pressure of 1.50 to 2.49 atmospheres. A Dense Atmosphere requires no survival gear although it may be hard on sophonts not accustomed to it.
Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)[edit]
Amberinth has 45-55% of its surface covered by liquid water. Wilderness refueling is possible.
Native Lifeforms[edit]
Abundant native life occupying every available ecological niche. Its metabolic functions drive the process of atmospheric renewal.
Native Sophont Species: Dastri[edit]
Continuing legal problems have hampered development in areas where the Dastri, a humanoid, non-Human race, still guard their territorial domains with stone-age weapons.
History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
For centuries, the Galian Trade League kept this world as a reserve for their corporate elite; as a result, disruption to the native Dastri was minimal. More recently, Amberinth has been opened up to settlement by the Trade League's political successor, the Galian Federation. The Dastri are prone to defend their ancestral lands, proving surprisingly formidable. As a result of legal disagreements over how to proceed, the Galian colonization has stalled somewhat.
This world is serviced by Salurian Lines, a transport, freight, and passenger starliner company, headquartered on Salur.
World Starport[edit]
Amberinth has a Class C Starport, an average quality installation which features amenities including unrefined fuel for starships, some brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing maintenance and other kinds of repair. Ports of this classification generally have only a downport, unless this is a trade port or system with an hostile environment mainworld.
World Population (P)[edit]
Amberinth has a population of 900,000,000 sophonts (hundreds of millions).
World Demographics[edit]
Linguistic Topography[edit]
- Native Dastri languages
- Galian
World Technology Level (T)[edit]
Amberinth possesses a Technology Level of TL–8.
- Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Fiber optics, improved telephones, and satellite communication and data networks.
- Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Improved geothermal and improved batteries.
- Common Transportation technologies for this TL include:
- Land: Advanced automobiles.
- Water: Triphibians and early artificial gills.
- Air: Improved helicopters and hypersonic jets.
- Space: Space shuttles, early space stations, and improved interplanetary spacecraft (System Craft).
- The native Dastri are at TL-1 at best, but look likely to increase this.
World Government (G)[edit]
Amberinth is governed by a Charismatic Dictatorship. Charismatic governments justify their ability to rule by simply asserting their right to rule. Charismatic dictatorships are typically young governments, coming as a recent change, and rely on the leader(s) to supply head of government.
Historical Data[edit]
The storied Galastrian Metals corporation collapsed during a workers' revolt on Tharver in 302, but within three years the League Concord had been signed, establishing the Galian Trade League, a trade corporation which essentially took over most of Galastrian's former holdings under looser reigns of authority and control. By the mid-500s, the League incorporated all of what is today the Galian Federation, the Plavian League, the Trindel Confederacy, and the coreward worlds of the Viyard Concourse.
By 900, various factors -- including the loss of several breakaway states and the rise of piracy -- had brought about a serious weakening of the Galian Trade League. Full-fledged civil war broke out in 911, leading to the break-up of the League and the founding of the modern Galian Federation in 925.
