265th Fleet

The 265th Fleet is the Numbered Imperial fleet serving the Third Imperium stationed in the Shumduur Subsector .

Overview

There is a strong scout presence in the Shumduur Subsector, of the Fornast Sector. The sector capital has an imperial scout Way Station. There are three ScoutRons stationed at three Scout Bases. The fleet logistics are spread among these formations. There is a single Naval Base for this fleet at Dughti. The local nobles felt that the single squadron the Imperial Navy wanted to station here was not sufficient and so a pair of colonial squadrons were raised using local resources to support imperial fleet operations. Their main concern and area of responsibility is commerce security and enforcing the Red Zone imperial interdiction blockades on Jedam and Arling. The local barons ordained a noble order of knights, pledged to protect and serve this region of space. All senior ship captains within the locally raised colonial squadrons are oath bound members of the order with all attendant rights and responsibilities. They can be identified by a golden signet ring and a small tattoo on the left shoulder with the Ducal Crest.
