Jedam is an icy, low-population world, with a population of less than 10,000 sophonts, warranting hazardous environment precautions.
- Its surface is ice-capped with nearly all of its water frozen.
- This is a cold world with an overall climate that is at the lower temperature range of human-congruous sophont endurance.
- This is a "forbidden" world designated as a Red Zone with an environment, laws, customs, life forms, or other conditions that make it extremely dangerous to visitors. Everyone is forbidden to travel here.
- It is a member of the Third Imperium in the Shumduur Subsector of Fornast Sector in the Domain of Sylea.
