Description (Specifications)

The TC8 Nedric class Corvette is a corvette class deployed by the Trooles Confederation. Examples of the class can be encountered throughout the coreward parts of Theta Borealis Sector. The vessel has a partially streamlined cylindrical structure hull. It is fitted with fuel scoops and fuel purification plant allowing it to perform wilderness gas giant refueling.

9. Fuel Treatment The vessel has internal fuel tankage of 168 Tons. They are delivered with a new set of optional jump 1 drop tanks, which can be fitted as needed.

History & Background (Dossier)

The TC8 Nedric class Corvette class is used by the Trooles Confederation. These partially streamlined cylindrical structures are a contribution from the planetary navy of a member state. This world had an older local system defense monitor design based on an armored tube. Armor was the primary concern and all other factors were of secondary importance. Civilian merchant drives were pressed into service and the performance suffered greatly. As a result it is the slowest class of ship in the fleet. It is frequently deployed alone or in pairs because it lacks the speed, agility and range to keep up with the main fleet elements. They also arrived for duty with a pair of obsolete Model 4 fib computers. Plans were in the works for hardware and software upgrades and refits but have yet to be approved. They carry a platoon of marines with a TC02 Grave Endeavor class Dropship and a pair of 4 ton TC004 Rambler class Grav APCs.
