The Dishaan Hegemony was a historical polity within Zarushagar Sector dominated by the Dishaan.
- It existed before the founding of the Vilani Ziru Sirka.
- It was destroyed during the Vilani Consolidation Wars.
Description / Specifications
Before the Ziru Sirka, many worlds were a part of the Ushkaq Sasutxi, the Dishaan Hegemony, a small trade empire established using Vilani technology. At its height it had 20 member systems: frequently it had substantially fewer. It was centered on the Provalan Cluster, a small group of worlds in central Zarushagar Sector.
The Hegemony was dominated by the Dishaan, a scheming, self-serving, manipulative race.
- Worlds within the cluster are highlighted in tan.
The Hegemony was always a fractious, divided entity, and systems settled by the Dishaan joined and departed regularly.
History & Background (Dossier)
More than eight millennia ago the Dishaan, an aggressive minor race, gained jump technology from Geonee traders and used it to explore and settle many surrounding systems. particularly the worlds of the Provalan Cluster. They formed the Ushkaq Sasutxi, the Dishaan Hegemony, although worlds joined and seceded regularly as local leaders and attitudes changed.

The Dishaan had long antagonized the nearby Darmine and attempted to play the encroaching Vilani in the same way: they became one of the earliest targets in the region during the Vilani Consolidation Wars. When the fractious state was dismembered and absorbed by the expanding Ziru Sirka, those Dishaan present in colony systems were removed and returned to Provalan, their homeworld.
- Artifacts dating from the pre-Vilani Dishaan era are highly sought after and command premium prices.
- Looting of historical sites carries heavy penalties.
The depopulated systems were subsequently settled by Vilani colonists, whose descendants remained on them throughout the Ziru Sirka, the Rule of Man, and the Long Night. They were resistant to Darmine influence thoughout this period and stayed relatively insular and independent until the founding of the Third Imperium. They became (reluctant) Imperial citizens following the Ilelish Pacification Campaign.
