Iliika has a population between 10,000 and 10 million sophonts, lacking the industrial base to be completely self-supporting. It is a member of Third Imperium in the Shallows Subsector of Dagudashaag Sector and in the Lancian Cultural Region and the Domain of Vland. Iliika, as a member world of the Third Imperium, holds the estate of an Imperial knight, a member of the Imperial Landed Nobility who acts as an Imperial representative to the world. This world has a nearby Imperial Naval Base, capable of handling warships.   During the Long Night this world was named Khem.

Astrography and Planetology[edit]

Iliika is located on the Vilani Main.

Stellar Data[edit]

Iliika has two stars in the star system.

Mainworld Data[edit]

Mainworld Size (S)[edit]

Iliika is a Meso World between 5,600km and 7,200km in diameter. The world has low gravity between 0.32G and 0.46G. The horizon will appear about 3.6km away.

Mainworld Atmosphere (A)[edit]

Iliika has a pressure of 0.10 to 0.42 atmospheres. The very thin pressures require a respirator or Oxygen Mask. TL–5 or more advanced survival gear is required to settle this world.

Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)[edit]

Iliika has 55-65% of its surface covered by liquid water. It has significant large liquid bodies. Wilderness refueling is possible.

History and Background[edit]

Naasirka.png

Iliika was initially a S'mrii colony world and still retains a significant S'mrii population. During the Pacification Campaigns it was captured and used as a military base. Since then, the megacorporation Naasirka has maintained a tight stranglehold on the planetary government and has continued to exploit the world's extensive natural resources to this day.

In 866 the S'mrii of Iliika managed, through a loophole in the local government constitution, to hold a free referendum in which over 89% of the population voted to throw Naasirka off-planet. Since then the local people have been attempting, through legal means, to win back their freedom -- a move that has been vigorously opposed through the courts by the Naasirka legal department.

World Starport[edit]

Iliika has a Class A Starport, an excellent quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and other kinds of repair, and construction of both starships and non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.

World Population (P)[edit]

151px-Smrii.jpg

Iliika has a population of 8,000,000 sophonts (millions).

  • This is a Nonindustrial World, too small to support the complete chain of production of most goods from start to finish.

World Demographics[edit]

The population is 60% S'mrii, 20% attendant Kiakh'iee, and 20% Vilani Human.

Linguistic Topography[edit]

The most commonly heard languages are:

World Government (G)[edit]

Iliika is governed by a Corporate Polity, having a single corporation with a typical corporate structure as a government. Essentially, this is a "company town" (or world). The typical corporate-run world usually has a single purpose. Examples include mining, agriculture, or other kinds of resource extraction. But rather than a simple base of operations, there are facilities for housing workers and their families, including hospitals, schools, and other infrastructure. How, or if, the children of the workers are incorporated into the workforce varies with companies. The corporation running the world may be a subsidiary of a larger interstellar corporation.
