A Far Frontiers sector supplement manuscript detailing the coreward half of the sector was prepared for FASA by Dale L. Kemper, but not published by FASA. Most of the content later appeared in Ares Magazine (Special #2) and the Traveller Chronicle

Meta-History & Background: 2019-1104

Far Frontiers is an old sector with a number of early 1980's Classic Traveller materials available for it.

  • There are many setting conflicts among these materials, which were not coordinated with consistent features.

  1. Several very popular FASA classic Traveller adventures were located in this sector.
  2. Numerous non-canon fan materials exist for this sector including a very large variety of non-canon polities and background stories.
  3. Jungleblut subsector of Far Frontiers sector was designed by J. Andrew Keith and appears in Trail of the Sky Raiders (FASA, 1982).
  4. Alsas subsector was designed by Bill Fawcett, and appears in Gameplay Magazine (April 1983).
  5. The six remaining coreward subsectors were designed by Dale L. Kemper and appear in Ares Magazine, Special Edition #2 (TSR, 1983).
  6. The eight rimward subsectors were designed by Jim Kundert and appear in The Traveller Chronicle #5, #6, #8 (Sword of the Knight Publications, 1994-1995).
