The Zydarian Codominium is an interstellar polity located in the Spinward Drift Subsector of The Beyond sector.

Description (Specifications)
A confederation located at the junction of the Zydar and Spinward Drift subsectors. The Zydarian Codominium Star Legion is charged with protecting this territory.
Too small to directly challenge the Corellan League, the Codominium is nevertheless known to be a haven for criminals, malcontents, rebels, and pirates.
The state is governed by the Apostles, who command the central government ministries and form a council which implements the teachings and decrees of Duality Prophet Zydar himself.
Symbols
The state symbol of the Codominium is a circular emblem split into two balanced halves, reminiscent of a yin-yang symbol, but here symbolising the supposed nature of the Duality Prophet Zydar, who claims to have a Human and an Ancient soul.

History
The Third World War on Tirost (the world that is now Zydar) was ended by the Duality Prophet Zydar, who led his followers to demand peace by popular non-violent protests across all seven warring states.
Zydar subsequently declared the Zydarian Codominium in 930, based on his claimed possession of both a Human and Ancient soul, and his followers quickly seized control of the world’s faltering governments. He renamed the world after himself, and withdrew from the Corellan League, which he asserted had done nothing to prevent the suffering of his planet's wars.
The Codominium is a theocracy, with Zydar’s Disciples ruling a bureaucratic state that organizes tithes and controls most aspects of daily lives. Economic activity is based on free enterprise principles, but the Codominium is a 10% shareholder or “tithe holder” of all enterprises, and guaranteed a seat on every corporate board.
Military & Intelligence (Force Projection)
The Zydarian Codominium Star Legion is the force responsible for security for this government.
Timeline
- 930: Ending the Third Tirost World War, Duality Prophet Zydar proclaims the Condominium and breaks away from the Corellan League.
- There follows a purge of leadership and reorganization of society known as the Great Realignment.
- 935: Zydar is secure in his rule of Tirost, now renamed Zydar.
- 936: The outpost of Oquir, now renamed Zydoquir, is annexed by Zydar.
- 962: Star Legion of the Codominium launched; Danaria occupied and converted (and renamed Zydanar)
- 963: Exanos, renamed Zydexnar, occupied.
- 964: Zydar signs the Treaty of Nestor with the Corellan League, guaranteeing the independence of the Nestor system.
- 1032: The Zydar-Nakris War begins
- 1034: The Zydar-Nakris War ends with a Nakris Star Force siege of the Zydar system and subsequent treaty. Zydar promises permanent withdrawal of Star Legion ships from the Nakris Subsector and an end to missionary activity within the Nakris Confederation.
- 1065: Zydar celebrates his 200th birthday in a Codominium-wide Jubilee. This is the last time the Duality Prophet is seen in public, though the state will claim for decades yet that he lives.
- 1102: Piratical "tithing" by the Codominium Star Legion leads to the withdrawal of the Corellan League Ambassador.
