Description (Specifications)

Komar Class Missile Boats serve with the navy of the Kostov Confederate Republic, a member state of the Solomani Confederation. They are fast and agile, with a lightly armored streamlined hull. Komars are carried by larger vessels, such as the Minsk class Battleship.

1.	Tonnage	The Komar class is constructed using a 60 Ton hull built in a Wedge configuration. The hull is fully streamlined, giving a good atmospheric performance assisted by its onboard gravitic systems. It is equipped with fuel scoops. The vessel is fitted with an airlock. The vessel has sturdy retractable legs, allowing surface landings.
2.	Crew	2 personnel. 1 command/pilot, 1 engineering/electronics. Small Craft Staterooms: XX [single double] occupancy. Accessible areas of the hull are fitted with grav plates and inertial compensators and have full life support and environmental systems. There are internal monitoring and security systems throughout the vessel: individual sections of the hull can be sealed off. There is an emergency locker.
3.	Performance	The vessel mounts a Maneuver-6 drive and a Power Plant-11, giving performance of 6-G acceleration. The ship has an agility rating of 6. There is fuel tankage of 6.6 Tons, giving the power plant 4 weeks duration. The engineering section is controlled from the small craft bridge.
4.	Electronics	Adjacent to the small craft bridge is a computer model/5: no backup computer is installed. There are multiple workstations and control points throughout the vessel. The vessel is fitted with communications equipment, a standard sensor array, and has an avionics suite. It has a transponder unit that can be deactivaed on command. It is equipped with a sophisticated ECM package.

6.	Armament	The normal weapons fit-out for a Komar class is: dual missile racks, forming one battery.
7.	Defenses	The hull is plated, structurally reinforced, and built with secure bulkheads and compartments that give it a High Guard armor rating of 3. The vessel is not fitted with screens or other passive defensive systems.
8.	Craft	The vessel carries no dedicated subcraft.
9.	Fuel Treatment	The vessel is not fitted with fuel purification equipment.
10.	Cost	The basic cost of the vessel is MCr122.13 Architects Fee: MCr1.221
11.	Construction Time	24 weeks (5.5 months) as standard. Build times can be reduced by mass production and the efficiencies such processes generate, by increased financing, and by allotting additional yard resources and facilities to the construction contract.
12.	Comments	Standard cargo capacity amounts to 0.6 Tons, entirely given over to use as a missile magazine.

Komar class Missile Boats serve with the Kostov Confederate Navy of the Kostov Confederate Republic, a member state of the Solomani Confederation. 425 examples of the Komar class are currently in service. Komars carry the Kitchen class anti-shipping cruise missiles.
