Description (Specifications)

Kiev class Fleet Tenders serve with the navy of the Kostov Confederate Republic, a member state of the Solomani Confederation. They are the primary capital ship of the Kostov Confederate Navy and lead all major fleet operations.

1.	Tonnage	The Kiev class is constructed using a 200,000 Ton hull built in a Close Structure configuration. The hull is partially streamlined, giving a relatively limited atmospheric performance largely reliant on its onboard gravitic systems. It is equipped with fuel scoops. There are 120 airlocks located around the vessel. The cargo hold is accessed by large doors and has a loading ramp. The vessel has a sturdy fixed undercarriage, allowing surface landings.
2.	Crew	1,694 personnel. XX command, XX engineering, XX gunnery, XX service, XX medical, and XX stewards. There are XX security personnel and XX flight crew. Staterooms: XX single double occupancy. Low berths: XX (sufficient for a Frozen Watch). Accessible areas of the hull are fitted with grav plates and inertial compensators and have full life support and environmental systems. There are internal monitoring and security systems throughout the vessel: individual sections of the hull can be sealed off. There are multiple emergency lockers.
3.	Performance	The vessel mounts a Jump-3 drive, a Maneuver-3 drive, and a Power Plant-5, giving performance of Jump-3 and 3-G acceleration. The ship has an agility rating of 3. There is fuel tankage of 70,000 Tons, sufficient for one Jump-3 and giving the power plant 4 weeks duration. The engineering section has a main control room. Ladders, gantries and platforms give access to the machinery. The jump drive creates a jump bubble around the vessel. The jump drive is fitted with a jump governor.
4.	Electronics	Adjacent to the bridge is a computer model/6fib: no backup computer is installed. There are multiple workstations and control points throughout the vessel. The vessel is fitted with communications equipment, an advanced sensor array, and has an avionics suite. It has a transponder unit that can be deactivaed on command. It is equipped with a sophisticated ECM package.
5.	Hardpoints	2,000 hardpoints. The listed battery groupings are standard configurations for the class. Alternative battery groupings may be designated for specific missions.
6.	Armament	The normal weapons fit-out for a Kiev class is: 1 Type K spinal meson gun. 6 100-Ton bays, mounting Particle Accelerators. 100 dual plasma gun turrets, typically grouped into 10 batteries of 10 linked turrets. 100 triple beam laser turrets, typically grouped into 10 batteries of 10 linked turrets. 1500 triple missile turrets, typically grouped into 150 batteries of 10 linked turrets.
7.	Defenses	The hull is plated, structurally reinforced, and built with secure bulkheads and compartments that give it a High Guard armor rating of 1. 6 100-Ton bays, mounting Repulsors 100 triple sandcaster turrets, typically grouped into 10 batteries of 10 linked turrets. The vessel is fitted with a nuclear damper unit. The vessel is fitted with a meson screen generator.
8.	Craft	The vessel has a Launch Tube capable of launching vessels of up to 60 Tons displacement: it designed to rapidly deploy the ship's complement of Missile Boats. Missile Boats x40 Komar class Missile Boats. Battle Riders x19 Zulu class Battle Riders. The subcraft are housed within a series of dedicated hangers that can be sealed in an emergency. The total hanger space is 44,920 Tons. Vehicles 10 x 6-Ton Grav APCs, 10 x 6-Ton Grav Tanks 10 x 6-Ton SP Guns. The Vehicle hangers are a series of sealable compartments with a total volume of 234 Tons.
9.	Fuel Treatment	The Kiev class is fitted with a fuel purification plant that can refine all onboard fuel in a few hours. It is operated and maintained by the engineering crew.
10.	Cost	The basic cost of the vessel is MCr161,601.47 Architects Fee: MCr1,616.015 The vessel and its subcraft are standard designs. Detailed architectural plans are widely available and no design fee is chargeable.
11.	Construction Time	224 weeks (52 months) as standard. Build times can be reduced by mass production and the efficiencies such processes generate, by increased financing, and by allotting additional yard resources and facilities to the construction contract.
12.	Comments	Standard cargo capacity amounts to 112.5 Tons. The cargo hold can be sealed and has independent life support and environmental systems.
