System data

The primary is Aquara, an ordinary yellow main sequence star. It has a luminosity of 0.994 Sols, a mass of 1 Sol, and a diameter of 1.366 million km. The inner system consists of (I) a vacuum worldlet, (II) a trace atmosphere inner world, and (III) corrosive atmosphere inferno world. (IV) Val Marin orbits within the habitable zone and is designated the mainworld. (V) a dense atmosphere bigworld, (VI) a sparse rocky planetoid belt, (VII) large gas giant, a (VIII) ringed small gas giant, and (IX) a vacuum iceworld form the outer system. Many of the worlds retain satellites.

(IV) Val Marin

(IV) Val Marin is designated the mainworld. It orbits Aquila at a mean distance of 0.97 AU (145.1 million km), within the habitable zone. It has an orbital period of 1 year 55 days and a rotation period of 21 hours. The axial tilt is 23 degrees. Val Marin has a diameter 13125 km, a density of 5.89 g/cm³, and a surface gravity of 1.23 G. The world is geologically active. Its atmosphere is rated as Dense, with a mean surface pressure of 2.12 bar and a composition of 77% nitrogen, 22% oxygen, and 1% argon, water vapour, carbon dioxide, neon and other trace gases. Approximately 62% of the surface is covered in seas of liquid water: average tidal ranges exceed 0.75m. Mean surface temperature: 35°C. The atmosphere is dynamic and strong weather systems driven by the star and the oceans scour the surface. The climate is seasonal.

Val Marin retains two natural satellites, a very thin atmosphere world named Ordain and a cratered vacuum world called Salek:

There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and most kinds of repair, and construction of non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.
