A sector located almost entirely within the Great Void, located to rimward-trailing of Far Home Sector. The spinward-coreward corner of the sector forms part of the Hak'tha Spread, a loose cluster of stars. It contains 8 systems and has a population of approximately 3000 Sophonts. No part of Deep sector can be reached by conventional jump-2 vessels travelling from the Distant Fringe.

Meta-History & Background

Deep Sector was first named and charted by human settlers when they arrived in the Distant Fringe over 3 millennia ago. The first Sophonts known to have deliberately entered the Sector were Sath from the Shikh'aa Faction of the Sath Alliance in 5538AD – they crossed to the Spread through use of a pre-positioned deep space cache of fuel and supplies known as the Waypoint.
