Druwaith is an agricultural, nonindustrial world still lacking adequate means to expand its economy.

  • As an agricultural world, this world is a near-ideal environment for producing quality foodstuffs of plant, animal, and other forms. Quality foodstuffs are a major export commodity for this world.
  • It requires extensive imports of outside technology to maintain a modern, star-faring society. Having to import most manufactured and high tech goods drives the price up for these items at this world.

Druwaith is a water world with 90% or more of its surface covered in an ocean of water.

Druwaith has an Excellent Starport with shipyards able of handling Starships up to the Overhaul level, and provides Refined fuel. The main world is roughly 9,000 kilometers in diameter, and is a Medium terrestrial. The atmosphere has a pressure of 0.5 atmospheres, gravity is 0.65G, a year is 421 days. The atmosphere is a standard oxygen/nitrogen mix, which is breathable without assistance. The surface is roughly 95 percent surface water, which qualifies it as a Water world. History & Background (Dossier)[edit]

Druwaith was a world seeded by the ancients.

  • -1941
    • Ships from Exploratory Mission Number 315 arrived and charted Druwaith. To the amazement of the xenologists, they found a world already inhabited by non spacefaring humaniti at around TL 1.5. DNA testing confirmed the match, which added further weight to the Ancients Hypothesis. EM315 left without significant interdiction, but did leave a 'civilisation package'.
  • 221 (Year of the Third Imperium)
    • Druwaith was a technically highly advanced world and highly industrial. Land covered 30% of the planet surface, and the population level was around 1 billion local residents. In this year, their first space station was built and launched into orbit.
  • 290
    • Druwaith science reverse-engineered their first J-drive technology from artifacts of the Ancients. The space station was upgraded to an class B star port. Industry was upgraded for the production of space ships. Global warming had become a concern, but apart from building some sea walls to prevent the rising sea levels from covering land, little was done to mitigate it.
  • 302
    • Due to climate change and world warming, the Jefferson Glacier and Vlad's Glacier both broke free of the south pole's ice mass. The resulting effect completely submerged a densely populated low lying island chain, and with the resultant rise in sea levels, the island chain did not resurface. 100 million residents were killed.
  • 303
    • The first space ship, the "Supreme Director Garaith", named for the current world leader, was launched to explore the nearby systems. Uninhabited Cirith was discovered and a scouting party dispatched to determine suitability for colonisation.
  • 306
    • A transport space ship capable of carrying 10,000 passengers was completed and begun ferrying colonists to Cirith.
  • 313
    • The "Supreme Director Garaith" discovered uninhabited Salayna, which was more suitable than Cirith for colonisation.
  • 315
    • Transport space ships began ferrying colonists to Salayna.
  • 388
    • Population had dropped to 200 million, land area had dropped to 15% of the world surface, and damage to the ozone layer had resulted in the atmosphere being changed to 'thin'. The majority of the population had been ferried to Cirith.

Updating in progress.

  • 965
    • Supreme Director Tana Garaith IV passed on leadership to Supreme Director Dake Voss.
  • 985
    • Supreme Director Thalrik Voss inherited the leadership from his father, Supreme Director Dake Voss after Dake Voss died in a vehicle accident.
  • 998
    • Druwaith declared a war of expansion on Horok, but the nearby world of Rigel provided the Horok people with ships and weapons.
    • Supreme Director Thalrik Voss passed on leadership to Supreme Director Tallin Voss, and retired from public life.

World starport[edit]

Druwaith has a Class A Starport, an excellent quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and other kinds of repair, and construction of both starships and non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.

World technology level[edit]

Druwaith possesses a Technology Level of TL–15 or TL-F in Hexadecimal Notation.

World government[edit]

Druwaith is governed by Self-Perpetuating Oligarchy. A single family or small group provides the leadership and important positions within the government. These positions are inherited by members of the group or by their relatives. The organization may be a monarchy, with titles passed to family members, or a plutocracy where inheritance of the family fortune includes government position. Alternatively, the organization may be a more typical government apparatus, only with positions of power inherited.

The seat of the Druwaith Empire is located on the Throne Vessel; a massive, ten-kilometer-long super-structure that functions as a mobile capital. It houses the Imperial Palace, the high courts, imperial archives, and the central command of the Druwaith navy.
This vessel and numerous permitted city-ships follow the planet’s most pleasant weather patterns, ensuring that the imperial government is always operating under optimal climatic conditions.

World Law Level[edit]

Druwaith has a moderate level with laws covering many areas of government and interaction. These laws are simple enough that most people can act as their own advocate, though for serious issues a professional is recommended. Law enforcement officials will be present, but not in great numbers. All firearms except shotguns, and anything more destructive, are typically regulated or prohibited.

World Military[edit]

Druwaith has large numbers of Druwaith fighters. This fighter's hardpoint is usually outfitted with a missile rack.

Urbanization[edit]

"On this world, space is not measured in meters, but in the silence between neighbors.” — Supreme Director of Druwaith.

Residence is strictly controlled by the Imperial Registry. Ownership of land (or water rights) is the ultimate status symbol in Druwaith society, often costing more than a small fleet of starships.

While the world possesses a medium-sized planetary core, its surface is a vast, shimmering expanse of sapphire oceans. With a population of only five million, the world maintains a density that prioritizes privacy, grandeur, and natural splendor. It is the administrative and cultural heart of the Druwaith Empire, reserved exclusively for the most influential figures in the Empire.

Unlike the cramped arcologies of industrial worlds, urbanization here is horizontal and expansive. The world is dotted with autonomous seasteads — massive, stabilized platforms anchored to the shallowest points of the ocean floor. Each residence is a private estate featuring sprawling gardens, open-air pavilions, and landing pads for private grav-yachts. To maintain the planet’s aesthetic, these structures often utilize "transparent aluminum" and bioluminescent coral-stone.
