Horok is an agricultural, nonindustrial, pre-rich world with a growing agro-economy, but still lacks an adequate population to expand its economy to a rich status.

  • As an agricultural world, this world is a near-ideal environment for producing quality foodstuffs of plant, animal, and other forms. Quality foodstuffs are a major export commodity for this world.
  • It requires extensive imports of outside technology to maintain a modern, star-faring society. Having to import most manufactured and high tech goods drives the price up for these items at this world.
  • This world has promising economic future although it needs to recruit a larger labor force in order to achieve the desired prosperity.
  • This world has an exploration base, which is similar to an Imperial Scout Base, capable of handling explorer personnel and exploratory starships.

Mainworld Data[edit]

Horok has an Excellent Starport with shipyards able of handling Starships up to the Overhaul level, and provides Refined fuel. The main world is roughly 7,700 kilometers in diameter, and is a Small terrestrial . Gravity is approximately 0.15G. The atmosphere has a pressure of 1.0 atmospheres The atmosphere is a standard oxygen/nitrogen mix, which is breathable without assistance. The surface is roughly 55 percent surface water, which qualifies it as a Wet world. The main world has a general population of 1,000,000 local residents, which qualifies it as a Moderate population world. The local government is characterized as Feudal Technocracy, with government by specific individuals for those who agree to be ruled Relationships are based on the performance of technical activities which are mutually beneficial. Visitors may find the law barely restrictive as only body pistols, explosives, poison gas are regulated or restricted by local authorities.

Mainworld Geography & Topography[edit]

The skies above Horok are littered with space debris, which regularly fall out of orbit and crash onto the world below. These are the remnants of destroyed Druwaith space craft from the attacks on Horok during the war.
Included in this is the remnants of the defeated 'Moon of Doom', a huge armored battle station that has fallen into a fixed orbit.
Regular collisions between pieces of space debris often knock them out of orbit.

History & Background (Dossier)[edit]

Horok had long been tagged by Druwaith as a future world for it's expansion. It's low gravity had meant it was not an ideal world, but they still considered it their own.

  • 689
    • Scout ships from the Skania Pact planets arrived and surveyed the world.
  • 699
    • Skania Pact had identified the system as an excellent location to base future expansion. The lack of a gas giant meant no refueling was available, and so an exploration base commenced construction. The habitable world, while low gravity, did have extensive water and so could be used to manufacture fuel.
  • 720
    • The exploration base was completed, and star port construction was commenced on the Horok world. First settlers arrived on the world to commence the construction of manufacturing facilities to produce fuel.
  • 998
    • Druwaith declared a war of expansion on Horok, but the nearby world of Rigel provided the Horok people with ships and weapons.

World starport[edit]

Horok has a Class A Starport, an excellent quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and other kinds of repair, and construction of both starships and non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.

World technology level[edit]

Horok possesses a Technology Level of TL–12 or TL-C in Hexadecimal Notation.

World government[edit]

Horok is governed by a Feudal Technocracy. Society divides itself based on the technical requirements of the society. Each of these functions are granted as a fief to an individual or group. Leadership of these fiefs determines the head of the government.

The leader of Horok is called 'King', and family titles of 'Queen', 'Prince' and 'Princess'. The leadership only changes when the fief leaders vote for a change in leader.

As of 1105, the leader of Horok is King Herrfo, with his wife Queen Fri-Lay, and the 5 princesses Seasal, Salvine, Soucre, Chesion and Barbeq. He has been leader since 997. King Herrfo at this point in time is in his early 60's.
