Physiology & Environment (Ecology)[edit]

Mewey are bipeds roughly similar to Humans in size and body chemistry. Mewey are mostly found on their homeworld or their colony on nearby Ochecate (Spinward Marches 0837).

The evolution of the Mewey is much debated, as they possibly have Aslan ancestry, but also seem to resemble Humans. They somewhat resemble a Satyr, a creature from Terran mythology.

Male Mewey outnumber females two to one and are smaller; the opposite situation to Aslan, among whom three quarters of births are female while males grow larger. They also contrast with Aslan by having a largely herbivorous diet.

Crepuscular by nature, Mewey tend to rest during the midday hours. Due to their enhanced senses they are light sleepers.

Mewey are highly attentive and empathetic, naturally sensing shifts in speech, body language and scent, even with alien species.

History & Background (Dossier)[edit]

A very peaceable species, nevertheless they strongly resisted the Third Imperium's attempts at assimilating their world into its frontiers. The Collapse induced them to accept inclusion into the much smaller Regency of Deneb, and only after Norris' people made several concessions.

Culture & Society (Ethnology)[edit]

For centuries, the Mewey were a fragmented people. A lengthy period of warring city-states is known today as the Daidomor. A later period of determined collaboration is known as the Kamilekek, and this was the basis of the modern Mewey Empire. The Mewey established a peace system promoting agricultural, technological, and industrial advancements alongside societal solidarity.

While spiritual, Mewey society lacks organised religion. Regionally specific animistic traditions nonetheless incorporate common customs and rituals to gain ancestral and environmental blessings.
