History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
Government & Politics (Leadership)[edit]
Mewey city-states possess distinct cultures and traditions. Travellers moving between them will encounter varying architectures, customs and languages. However, although each city-state has political autonomy, their administrative entities all adhere to the Empire's common laws. Inner clan and community issues are overseen by each city-state's administrative body, while conflicts and disagreements between the states are presented to the Empire's council, the Anginkeh.
Internal Disputes[edit]
One emerging threat to the Empire's communal vision is a group called the Va'aukana. These Mewey view the Aslan intervention in their culture as fulfilling a divine prophecy, seeking to reembrace the former warring nature of their people. They deify the Aslan as liberators, and representatives push to expand the Empire’s borders and take more aggressive political stances, both at home and abroad.
Intetstellar Relations[edit]
Inchin is an important trade partner, offering high-end technology for agricultural products and processed materials. It provides the Mewey Empire with an entire landing area at its starport. A lucrative tourism trade has begun, with Ichin citizens seeking a reprieve on Mewey and Ochecate.
The Mewey Empire's open trade policies have placed them at odds with the Trexalon Technical Consortium.
The Empire distrusts the Third Imperium, in large part for its sheer size. The presence of the 208th Fleet, which thoroughly outmatches anything the Mewey could field, contributes significantly to this distrust.
Technology & Trade (Economy)[edit]
The Mewey Empire has formed amiable relationships with several neighbouring systems. Most of their expansion has been to trailing, reaching across District 268 Subsector from Inchin to Talos. Their merchant ships maintain regular waystations along this trade route, which they know as the Kaharoht Run.
Agricultural goods and organic compounds are traded for technology and industrial materials to supplement the Empire's growth.
