Description (Specifications)

Tydere are forest floor-dwelling Arthropodoids, vaguely reminiscent of Terran millipedes. They are descended from carnivore pouncers and predate small game and insects, but supplement their diet with a variety of nutritious vegetable matter, typically fruits and roots.

• Tydere prefer live prey.

They have a long flat segmented body containing the major organs, multiple paired legs, an upright forward section of torso with specialized arms and hands and containing the brain, and a small head containing the primary sensory organs. Their hard outer carapaces are iridescent and shine with blues and greens.

They follow the body pattern Bilateral HS-TB-AL-LL-N, cartilaginous internal structure, ichor fluids, chitinous outer plates.

• Each L in the body pattern is a group of four paired legs that act as a wave or a ripple when walking: Tydere have 12 legs on each side of their body.

A typical adult has a length of 2.5 meters and weighs 100 kg.

Tydere like to burrow, hunkering down in leaf litter and loose dirt.
