T-O-1 is an agricultural world with the potential to become an industrial power.

  • As an agricultural world, this world is a near-ideal environment for producing quality foodstuffs of plant, animal, and other forms. Quality foodstuffs are a major export commodity for this world.
  • As a preindustrial world, this planet cannot yet manufacture enough high-technology resources to support a modern, star-faring society. Having to import many manufactured and high tech goods drives the price up for these items at this world.
  • It is an unclaimed Non-Aligned world located in the Tarlaihiyr Subsector of Touchstone Sector.

Description (Astrography & Planetology)[edit]

This system falls within the Great Reef, a region of the Great Rift.

History and Background[edit]

Known on Human charts as T-O-1, to Aslan this world is Tarlaihiyr.

A Human population has existed here apparently since the time of the Ancients. Low-tech nations are found on larger land masses, with outposts on island chains. These colonies are essential to the major economies, supplying resources unavailable at home, and change hands from time-to-time through conflict or complex inter-state deals.

World Starport (Sp)[edit]

T-O-1 does not have a starport. The Class X Starport is an indication that no starport exists in the system. There are no facilities or services available, and no site marked for landing.

World Population (P)[edit]

T-O-1 has a population of 30,000,000 sophonts (tens of millions).

  • The population consists of Humans.
  • T-O-1 is known to its inhabitants as 'the world'. They are for the most part unaware of the wider universe.

World Government (G)[edit]

T-O-1 has a Balkanized Government. There is no central world government. The world has several governments competing for control of the world. These may be allies, cooperating, competitors, or at war with each other.

The Human nations of T-O-1 are competitive, even when not in conflict, and launch attacks on one another's shipping whenever the opportunity presents itself. Most major conflicts are fought at sea or on distant islands; an invasion of a rival's homeland is beyond the capabilities of any nation, although alliances have attempted it.

World Law Level (L)[edit]

T-O-1 has a moderate level with laws covering many areas of government and interaction. These laws are simple enough that most people can act as their own advocate, though for serious issues a professional is recommended. Law enforcement officials will be present, but not in great numbers. Personal concealable firearms, and anything more destructive, are typically regulated or prohibited.

World Technology Level (TL)[edit]

T-O-1 possesses a Technology Level of TL–2.

New Era[edit]

This world was "gifted" to the Tarlaioekh clan in 1163 for their dishonorable actions in a clan war. Vassals of the Aokhalte, the clan deserted its positions in a battle within Vanguard Reaches Sector with the Seieakh clan. Rather than send them in exile back into the Aslan Wilds where they might do mischief, the Tlaukhu exiled them to this remote world, previously populated only by isolated Humans, using them to relieve the local garrison of its duties. The clan understands that it has little chance of redemption on a remote world in the middle of nowhere, and it has begun to send its scouts out into the depths of the Rift to seek some other means of restoring its fortunes.
