Syibis is a poor, low-population hellworld with a population less than 10,000 sophonts struggling to survive in an inhospitable environment.
- Hellworlds often offer daily, and sometimes even hourly, life-threatening situations to their inhabitants. Survivors often form intense survival skills and tend to be grim realists.
- It is a member of the Pirian Domain in the Onae Snae Subsector of Datsatl Sector.
Description (Astrography & Planetology)[edit]
Being a hellworld anarchy within jump-3 of Buudal, the main economy as of 1105 is facilitating illegal transfers of goods to the Tijian Expanse. This particularly includes starships, often jump-2 ones fitted with drop tanks so as to jump to Buudal without refueling. Local Pirian Domain enforcers are well aware but tend not to admit to it, always having more pressing matters to tend to - such as the restoration of a working planetary government that would have clearer jurisdiction to deal with the issue. That will likely require more people, and recruiting colonists to live on a hellworld is rarely an easy task.

While the thin atmosphere does not require survival gear this atmosphere also contains an unusual taint such as such as disease, a hazardous gas mix, pollutants, or sulfur compounds which requires the use of a Filter Mask. Some taints may require more protective equipment. TL–3 or more advanced survival gear is required to settle this world.
