Naeadh is a garden world with a near-ideal environment conducive to most forms of life. The system supports a population of fewer than 10,000 sophonts. The world has a colony on Dogaekhroe (Knoellighz 1909). This system serves as the capital for the subsector. This is a temperate world, with a climate of average temperatures. It is a member of Democracy of Greats in the Rourukhae Subsector of Knoellighz Sector.

System Data[edit]

This system has a single Gas Giant and lacks planetoid belts. This cuts down on Prospecting in the system and yet allows for safer system commutes and wilderness fuel skimming. Naeadh's Highport has extensive fuel processing plants. For a fee to the robots in orbit, fuel processing takes 75% of the normal refining time.

Mainworld Data[edit]

Naeadh is a Garden world that hopes someday to grow its population to make use of the innovations its scientists have devised here. The technicians are still attempting to wrangle with the Thin atmosphere and standardize designs for environment domes to pressurize the air to more comfortable levels. A surface gravity of 0.8 is at least gentle on the researchers and administrators.

Robots continue to scout the surface, capturing images and footage so as to provide alluring advertisement to further colonize Naeadh. With a 50% hydrosphere of large oceans and an 0.7 atmosphere, the scientists hope to attract educated and well-trained technicians and staff to aid in their pursuits. Such scholars and helpful leaders are welcome to settle with generous tracts of land to claim under the Naeadh banner -- and to the subsector's greater Charisma.

History & Background (Dossier)[edit]

The Vargr of Naeadh have been called upon by nearby worlds to administer their populations, to keep them from the brink of mutually assured destruction. The 100 or so scientists and think tankers, with the assistance of robots, redirected their pursuits and agreed to adjudicate from Naeadh objectively, and as fairly as the conquering Democracy of Greats would allow. Near the expanding edge of the Rourukhae Subsector, Naeadh has kept worlds such as Dogaekhroe (Knoellighz 1909) from spoiling their mainworld with nuclear war.

Though the learned Vargr of Naeadh have increased in Charisma for their advanced technology and administrative techniques, their population is too few to make good on the TL-14 breakthroughs. A lack of a nearby Industrial world has stunted their vision. Naeadh is in scientific competition with Araksa but has yet to learn of the Ancients time capsule discovered there and are envious of the population growth that is encouraged by the corporation present one subsector to Trailing.

The population of Naeadh is too small to conduct meaningful disagreements under its Balkanization. Yet the world is peacefully split along its lines of scientific applications. Scientists are Charismatically proud of their achievements and distant administration of Dogaekhroe. The greatest conflicts on this world are public debates on the application of various fields of science and civil engineering.

The robots of Naeadh who serve the local scientists are Vargr-bodied in appearance with subtle differences based on task-set. Meant to be welcoming and personable, each has a personality encoded, though over time the robots can permute with experiences and encounters with sophonts. Referees should include a personality with each robot encountered.

World Starport (Sp)[edit]

Naeadh has a Class A Starport, an excellent quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and other kinds of repair, and construction of both starships and non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.

  • There is a Downport, but due to population deficiency, there is actually no orbital facility nor an attending Startown on the surface. Robots help with the A-rated Starport services and are programmed to receive payment for such on the spot.
