History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
The League of Asclepius was founded by the Mercy Benevolent, a lost hospital ship of the Last Armada. During its wanderings to rimward it encountered another lost Last Armada vessel, an armored cruiser called the Assurance Destiny, but was forced to flee before all of the survivors could be rescued. The Assurance Destiny was eventually taken by The Plague and was their original source of humans and it unlocked sophont intelligence.
- It has been observed by historians that the Last Armada had no dedicated hospital ships, and nor are there records of a cruiser bearing the name Assurance Destiny. The medical needs of individual vessels were seen to by the expert medical teams that formed part of their crew.
