Laputa is an important and high-population garden world, containing a Confederation naval base and serving as the subsector capital.
Trade between other worlds of the Kukulkan Subsector and the Palermo Cluster to rimward typically goes by way of Laputa, then Palmyra IV.
World Starport[edit]
Laputa has a Class A Starport, an excellent quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and other kinds of repair, and construction of both starships and non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.
- There is an associated Confederation Naval Base.
World Culture[edit]
Laputa is a high-technology world where cybernetics are common. The pursuit of transcendence through technological advancement has become a near-religion, though the Solomani Party uses these augments as instruments of social control.
