Laeil is a pre-agricultural, moderate population rich garden world with over a hundred million, but not yet a billion sophonts.
- Garden worlds are known for their near-ideal utopian environments conducive to most sophonts, plants, animals, and other forms of life.
- It is a pre-agricultural world with an environment suitable for large scale agricultural and livestock industries that have not yet been widely developed.
- This is a rich world with a prosperous and thriving world economy.
- Its economy and population are rapidly growing and living conditions are expected to quickly rise barring outside forces.
- It is a Non-Aligned world dominated by indigenous Sophonts located in the Yaheye Subsector of Chiep Zhez Sector.
- It is a chilly tundra world, with a climate of low temperatures.
- It is the homeworld of the Kohudo.
Description (Astrography & Planetology)[edit]
Stellar Data[edit]
Laeil has a solitary primary star.
- It is a yellow main sequence.
System Data[edit]
The worlds of the system have been surveyed. They consist of:
- The mainworld.
- x3 secondary rocky worlds.
- x2 planetoid belts.
- x3 gas giants.
Mainworld Data[edit]
Laeil orbits towards the outer edge of the star's habitable zone.
Mainworld Size (S)[edit]
Laeil is a Meso World between 8,800km and 10,400km in diameter. The world has a standard gravity between 0.6G and 0.8G. The horizon will appear about 4.4km away.
Mainworld Atmosphere (A)[edit]
Laeil has a pressure of 1.50 to 2.49 atmospheres. A Dense Atmosphere requires no survival gear although it may be hard on sophonts not accustomed to it.
- It experiences low temperatures.
Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)[edit]
Laeil has 65-75% of its surface covered by liquid water. It has significant large liquid bodies. Wilderness refueling is possible.
- The world's oceans are littered with icebergs and pack ice.
Mainworld Geography and Topography[edit]
No centrally held map of the world exists within AAB Library Data records.
(Blank map, predominantly watery world.)
Native Lifeforms[edit]
The world has abundant native life occupying every available ecological niche. Its metabolic processes drive atmospheric renewal.
- Native lifeforms are cryophilic - they thrive in lower temperatures.
History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
Laeil is a frontier, a wild and lonely place that rarely sees visitors.
- The resources of the system are largely untapped.
It is the homeworld of the Kohudo, large, strong, fur-covered humanoids that can have sudden changes of temperament.
Note that social data, though only 40 years old, may be out of date: previously undocumented groups may now inhabit the system and maintain their own culture, forms of government, and systems of law.
- Verified updated data is constantly sought.
World Starport (St)[edit]
Laeil has a Class C Starport, an average quality installation which features amenities including unrefined fuel for starships, some brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing maintenance and other kinds of repair. Ports of this classification generally have only a downport, unless this is a trade port or system with an hostile environment mainworld.
- The world is host to a Military Base.
World Population (P)[edit]
Laeil has a population of 900,000,000 sophonts (hundreds of millions).
World Technology Level (T)[edit]
Laeil possesses a Technology Level of TL–8.
- Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Fiber optics, improved telephones, and satellite communication and data networks.
- Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Improved geothermal and improved batteries.
- Common Transportation technologies for this TL include:
- Land: Advanced automobiles.
- Water: Triphibians and early artificial gills.
- Air: Improved helicopters and hypersonic jets.
- Space: Space shuttles, early space stations, and improved interplanetary spacecraft (System Craft).
World Government (G)[edit]
Laeil has a Balkanized Government. There is no central world government. The world has several governments competing for control of the world. These may be allies, cooperating, competitors, or at war with each other.
World Law (L)[edit]
Laeil has a moderate level with laws covering many areas of government and interaction. These laws are simple enough that most people can act as their own advocate, though for serious issues a professional is recommended. Law enforcement officials will be present, but not in great numbers. Personal concealable firearms, and anything more destructive, are typically regulated or prohibited.

- Resources: B (abundant)
- Labor: 7 (tens of millions)
- Infrastructure: 9 (extensive)
- Efficiency: +3 (improved)
