System Data[edit]

Mainworld Data[edit]

Mainworld Size (S)[edit]

Kinishe is a Big World between 15,200km and 16,800km in diameter. The world has a standard gravity between 1.1G and 1.5G. The horizon will appear about 5.7km away. Vessels with only 1G of thrust should avoid landing on this world.

  • A high gravity acclimatisation course, consisting of a regimen of physical exercise in gradually increased gravity, and lasting some two or three weeks, is recommended before a Traveller operates on Kinishe.

Mainworld Atmosphere (A)[edit]

Kinishe has a pressure of 1.50 to 2.49 atmospheres. A Dense Atmosphere requires no survival gear although it may be hard on sophonts not accustomed to it.

Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)[edit]

Kinishe has 65-75% of its surface covered by liquid water. It has significant large liquid bodies. Wilderness refueling is possible.

History & Background (Dossier)[edit]

This world's agricultural riches have enabled its population to live without any but the simplest technology.

World Starport (St)[edit]

Kinishe has a Class E Starport, a frontier quality installation with few expected amenities. There is unrefined fuel for starships and a limited variety of ship provisions. There is no shipyard of any kind, but there may be parts and technical support for doing minor services and repair. Ports of this classification generally consist of a downport.

World Demographics[edit]

40,000,000 Vargr; it is thought that these might include Kokasha Vargr.

Urbanization[edit]

Vargr cities are lively and chaotic, full of garish colours and loud noises. Streets are packed and buildings press together. Vehicle traffic is fast and chaotic; the accident rate is low only because of superior Vargr reflexes. Zoning codes are rare, and districts jumble together.

World Technology Level (T)[edit]

Kinishe possesses a Technology Level of TL–1.

  • Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Runners or beast relay and long distance signaling such as the heliograph and semaphore.
  • Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Muscle power and water wheels.
  • Common Transportation technologies for this TL include:

World Government (G)[edit]

Kinishe has a Balkanized Government. There is no central world government. The world has several governments competing for control of the world. These may be allies, cooperating, competitors, or at war with each other.

World Law (L)[edit]

Kinishe has an extreme law level which covers every area of interaction. Laws are complex, detailed, and difficult to understand. Every interaction with the government requires an Advocate. Law enforcement is omnipresent and strict. Legal proceeding can take months to years to resolve and may involve dozens of people. A few worlds with this law level may be a Red Zone and others will be an Amber Zone. All objects specifically manufactured as weapons are typically regulated or prohibited (with no exception for private residences; visiting starships are only protected so long as they stay within designated starports and approach corridors).
