Hugus is a nonindustrial world, that requires extensive imports of outside technology to maintain a modern, star-faring society.
- In a technological universe, societies without industrial capability generally suffer as nearly all manufactured and high tech goods must be brought in at significant cost.
- As a nonindustrial world, it requires extensive imports of outside technology to maintain a modern, star-faring society. The need to import most manufactured and high technology goods drives the price of these goods up in the open market.
- It is a Non-Aligned world dominated by human sophonts located in the Nullia Subsector of Hinterworlds Sector.
- This world has a population of Chirpers.

History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
In the 1110s, Hugus accepted offers of technology infusion from the Nullian League, and a large cut of tariffs from any trade that came along Beyerly's Path from the Old Expanses Sector. Hugus also supported Nullian aggression against Riies, having seen its larger rival as an impediment to its own development.
World Starport (Sp)[edit]
Hugus has a Class D Starport, a poor quality installation which has few of the expected amenities. There is unrefined fuel for starships and a limited variety of ship provisions. There is no shipyard of any kind, but there may be parts and technical support for doing minor services and repair. Ports of this classification generally consist of only a downport, unless this is a trade port or system with an hostile environment mainworld.
World Population (P)[edit]
Hugus has a population of 300,000 sophonts (hundreds of thousands).
- This is a Nonindustrial World, too small to support the complete chain of production of most goods from start to finish.
World Demographics[edit]
Humaniti, population 100% by official census
- Chirper, noted as 50% of the actual population.
World Government (G)[edit]
Hugus is governed by a Feudal Technocracy. Society divides itself based on the technical requirements of the society. Each of these functions are granted as a fief to an individual or group. Leadership of these fiefs determines the head of the government.
World Law Level (L)[edit]
No information yet available.
World Technology Level (TL)[edit]
Hugus possesses a Technology Level of TL–8.
- Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Fiber optics, improved telephones, and satellite communication and data networks.
- Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Improved geothermal and improved batteries.
- Common Transportation technologies for this TL include:
