Foriv is an industrial, high-population hellworld with a billion or more sophonts, who struggle in an inhospitable environment.
- Hellworlds often offer daily, and sometimes even hourly, life-threatening situations to their inhabitants. Survivors often form intense survival skills and tend to be grim realists.

History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
The Hochiken People's Assembly has designs on this world and the surrounding cluster, which is known as the Heptad. The worlds of the HPA are poor in natural resources and minerals, especially heavy elements. Control of the Heptad would solve many of the HPA's resource problems.
World Starport[edit]
Foriv has a Class C Starport, an average quality installation which includes amenities including unrefined fuel for starships, some brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing maintenance and other kinds of repair. Ports of this classification generally have only a downport, unless this is a trade port or system with an hostile environment mainworld.
Military[edit]
Heavy orbital and ground-based defenses include aerospace interceptors, heavy missile emplacements and orbital forts. These are not intended to defeat an attacker, but to free battle units to maneuver without being too closely tied to planetary defense. The assumed attacking force is HPA raiders.
